Chapter 261: Chapter 261: Extreme Speed Force
The Dream Stone had different ways of granting wishes, but it was up to Jack to make a choice.
Let's take Barry's wish, for example.
The most direct way would be for the Dream Stone to bring Barry's mother back from the ground and hand her over to him.
However, that would be too horrifying, so Jack chose a more suitable option.
Time travel.
That's why it's so suitable to do things in this world. Rescuing Barry's mother was a piece of cake.
Jack's plan was simple.
Using the power of the Dream Stone, he interfered with a little event in the future of this world.
It was a long time in the future, so long that even the Flash and other superheroes died.
There was a new speedster in that era, just like the Reverse Flash.
He was a die-hard fan of the Flash and had studied his life and the process by which he gained his powers.
Through his research, he successfully became the first person to use Speed Force.
So, Jack arranged for this new speedster to help his idol, the Flash, save his mother.
However, if the Flash's mother, Nora, survived, it would completely change history.
In the face of a time paradox, the birth of the Flash himself would become chaotic.
So, how could they save Nora Allen without changing the course of history?
After brainstorming, they finally came up with a solution.
(Here's a method I read in another fanfiction, I can't remember which one exactly, but it seemed reasonable with a few improvements.)
First, they built a high-tech hibernation pod in the future, which was the large iron container Jack dug out from underground.
Then, using Atom's shrinking technology, they reduced the hibernation pod to a portable size.
Next, they traveled back in time to the night Nora was killed by the Reverse Flash.
They hid in the shadows and quietly observed as the Reverse Flash murdered the Flash's mother.
After everyone left, they finally appeared.
In fact, Nora wasn't immediately dead at that moment.
She was in critical condition and on the verge of dying. But for technology in the future, it will be as easy as getting a fever or a cold.
They didn't immediately heal Nora's injuries.
Instead, they kept her alive with technology from the future and made it look like she was dead.
Then they went back into hiding.
They watched as Nora was assumed dead, prepared for burial, and buried.
And on a dark and windy night, Nora was rescued from her grave one month later.
After treating her injuries, she was placed inside the hibernation pod and buried deep in the House's backyard.
They chose Barry's House because, in two years, there would be a lot of building and development in the area, including a big shopping mall.
The pod would have been found by then, unless something unexpected happened. They just moved the timeline forward by two years.
Watching Barry cry like a child, Jack couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. The identity of the Flash burdened him with too much responsibility.
But Barry was also partly to blame because he was so careless.
Anyone could play with a speedster like him. He had every reason to want to kill himself.
Not wanting to disturb Barry in this emotional moment, Jack quietly returned to the house.
The landlady had just finished brewing two cups of tea and was about to serve them.
"Mr. Wayne, have you found what you were looking for?" she asked.
Jack took a sip of the tea, pretended to drink it, then discreetly spat it out.
He continued, "What's the price for this house?"
The landlady was puzzled.

Barry's mother was resurrected, and his father was released from prison.
It was a cause for great celebration, but Jack did not want anything to do with it.
Even though Barry invited him, he kindly declined because he had something more important to do.
In the outside of Central City, in a lonely place, Jack called for a meeting.
"I hope you didn't bring me here just for chit-chat,"
The Reverse Flash said this while enjoying the clean air and soft breeze of the countryside.
"That's right. Are you familiar with this?"
Jack flipped his right hand, revealing a yellow lightning sphere.
"The Speed Force!"
The Reverse Flash almost instantly recognized the true nature of the lightning sphere and looked at Jack in confusion.
"What exactly do you want to do?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
Jack smiled mysteriously and absorbed the lightning sphere directly into the inside of his body.
"Ah, This feeling is something that only a few people can experience."
In an instant, Jack felt like he was being hit by 100,000-volt high-pressure lightning all over his body.
Around his body, red and yellow arcs of electricity were always moving.
Inside Jack's body, there already existed the Negative Speed Force, and now the pure original Speed Force of the Flash had also entered.
The positive and negative Speed Forces started to fight and clash inside of him, and they eventually merged together.
The Reverse Flash realized what Jack intended to do, and his face was filled with expectation.
Combining the Positive and Negative Speed Forces?
He had never thought of playing with them in this way before.
Should he give it a try too?
The thought crossed the Reverse Flash's mind.
But when the Reverse Flash sensed that the Speed Forces inside Jack's body were fighting more and more violently, Reverse Flash silently removed this dangerous idea from his head.
Come on, he wasn't Superman.
How could he withstand such a violent surge of energy?
The Reverse Flash thought to himself with a touch of seriousness.
As time passed, the red and yellow electricity intertwined on Jack's body slowly shrank, and a brand-new white spark took its place.
And with this step completed, outside the entire New 52 universe, or rather, not only the New 52 but many other unrecorded universes as well, a layer of supernatural white lightning enveloped the entire multiverse.
Including the Speed Force.
Finally, at a certain moment, the electric sparks on Jack's body vanished.
"This is truly stunning."
Feeling the changes in the outside world and inside his body, Jack exclaimed deeply,
"No wonder it's called the Speed Force, the effect is incredible."
He never expected that the combination of the positive and negative Speed Forces would give birth to an entirely new Speed Force.
For the sake of having a name, JJack called it the "Extreme Speed Force."
The Extreme Speed Force, like the Speed Force, created a wall of extreme speed all over the DC universe.
Jack could easily travel to other universes through this extreme wall of speed, which connected almost all of the multiverses.
This includes the New 52 world but is not restricted to it.
At first glance, it seemed similar to the Speed Force Wall, but the biggest difference was that it only enveloped the three-dimensional universe.
On the other hand, the Wall of Extreme Speed Force went beyond the fourth dimension and into the fifth-dimensional universe.
It covered worlds like Earth-X, Earth-Prime, Heaven, and Hell, which are famous places.
However, the worlds beyond the fourth dimension were blocked by a mysterious power, and despite Jack's ability to feel them through the Wall of Extreme Speed, he could not enter them.
That was a bit disappointing, but it was not a big problem.
Little did he know that this experiment had shaken countless powerhouses across the multiverse.
