Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Settle The Score

Jack moved forward while sensing the location of the Power Stone.

From what can be seen, Morag was once a highly advanced technological planet.

Unfortunately, it has changed a lot because of a sudden meteor fall and the war that followed.

The land becomes harmful, and even the air is thinner than normal.

Even the gravity has changed a lot, making the outside of the planet a lifeless wasteland.

The war and natural disasters caused cracks in the crust, which let out a lot of poisonous gases into the air.

Without protection, it would be dangerous.

Jack continued on his path and quickly arrived at the palace where the Power Stone was kept.

The palace seemed strange. It might not have been full of poisonous gas because of the Power Stone.

He even saw signs of living things, like a bunch of giant electric eels moving around in a hole and two-legged things hopping around.

He teleported directly into the secret room where the Power Stone was kept.

The cosmic orb holding the Power Stone was displayed in a laser case.

With a wave of his hand, the orb disappeared suddenly, only to reappear in his hand.

As he grabbed the orb, it burst open, and a strange purple light filled the whole room.

Jack sighed in relief, and with a thought, he absorbed the stone.

Then, another Power Stone appeared in front of him, but its glow was almost out.

He took one stone and decided to leave the other.

It wouldn't be fair to Star-Lord if he went through all the trouble to find it and ended up with nothing, right?

Well, I guess I'm a good person after all.

Praising himself in his mind, Jack put the Power Stone back exactly as it was and left the room.

In an unknown space covered in darkness, Jack appeared on a stone platform.

In front of him was a gigantic stone containing the Reality Stone.

Looking closer, he could see that the Reality Stone was floating inside the stone.

Jack reached out and firmly grabbed the fluid-like substance.

His body immediately absorbed the Reality Stone in full, just as a sponge would have done with water.

Jack felt the Reality Stone moving freely inside him as if it was adapting to its new home.

With a thought, he stored the Reality Stone in his Multiverse Salvage space.

Then, he took out another Reality Stone that had also lost its power and put it back using the same method.

After completing these steps, Jack breathed a sigh of relief.

So far, he has collected three Infinity Stones. The other three were with the Ancient One, Thanos, and the last soul stone was in the Vomir.

The Time Stone could wait, but the Soul Stone made things difficult.

He decided to go and get the Mind Stone first and settle the score with Thanos.

He hadn't forgotten how his subordinates chased him down like a dog. Jack was determined to make him pay.

...

In the dark void of space, this was Thanos' base.

Located within a large asteroid belt, it was terrifying.

One small mistake could result in ships being destroyed and lives being lost.

On a platform concealed within the asteroid belt, Thanos sat on his throne and looked out at the distant stars.

He absentmindedly supported his head with his hand, lost in thought.

A burst of light flashed, and a figure cloaked in a cape appeared on the platform.

He cautiously approached and kneeled before Thanos.

"Respected Lord Thanos, our sensors have detected something that might interest you."

Thanos did not even blink his eyes, just staring at the star.

After all, he had been the ruthless executioner who had slaughtered countless planets.

He wouldn't easily let other matters affect his emotions.

The person on the ground continued humbly, "We have detected the Earthling you were very interested in. He has left Earth and just arrived on the planet Morag."

This news finally got a reaction from Thanos. He manipulated his throne, slowly turning to face the humble figure on the ground.

"Tell me, where is he now!"

The person on the ground trembled so much that he was almost on his knees.

He knew that because Thanos was so dangerous, if he did not answer, they would end up like their master.

He wanted to answer, but the problem was that he honestly didn't know where that damn Earthling was now.

After arriving on Morag, the Earthling disappeared from the radar, and now nobody knows where he is.

The long silence caused Thanos to furrow his brow, growing impatient.

His eyes began to show a fierce glint, as he thought about crushing the person who was testing his patience.

"So, you have a detector. That explains how you were able to track my whereabouts."

"But I'm curious, how is it possible that your detector can detect the energy fluctuations of the Infinity Stones? It's quite amazing. Where did you get it from?"

The voice coming from above made Thanos' eyes narrow. Before he could react, a powerful blow hit the back of his head with great force.

Boom!

Thanos's figure was sent flying, crashing through several asteroids before finally slamming into a larger one.

The person on the ground had no idea what had just happened.

Just as he raised his head, he saw his master flying like a rocket. He stared in disbelief, as this scene shattered his understanding of Thanos.

When he turned his head to look at the throne, he saw a person sitting where Thanos had been just a few moments before.

Jack felt a bit uncomfortable and shifted his buttocks.

Thanos seemed to like this chair, and he thought it would be comfortable, but it actually hurt him.

Noticing the person below staring at him, he looked over and asked,

"Can you tell me? How did you track me down at first? How does your detector work, exactly??"

This was something he had always wanted to know.

When he first came out of Sakaar, he was immediately chased by Thanos' subordinate without even getting a chance to enjoy himself.

At that time, he was far from being as powerful as he is now.

Even when he faced Thanos's subordinates, he was too weak and had to run away to save his life.

At the very least, it was a dangerous trip.

He even came close to being turned into an idiot by that Supergiant. He hadn't forgotten that grudge.

This time, he came to get the Mind Stone and settle the score with the Supergiant.

As for Thanos, he would take care of him if the chance came up.

After waiting for a long time without a response, he impatiently looked at the other person again, his eyes flickering with a hint of red.

"It... it's the radiating properties of the Infinity Stones. Our detector can detect the unique radiation emitted by the Infinity Stones."

When the person saw this, he shook with fear and quickly told everything he knew.

As for whether Thanos would kill him or not, he couldn't care less about that.

"I see..."
