Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Regret?
The next day
In a luxury apartment in Manhattan.
Jack sat on the couch looking hopeless, while Diana sat beside him with a pleased look on her face.
On the latest TV in front of them, the hottest show of the time was playing. For Jack, it was extremely boring, but Diana was very interested and dragged him to watch TV all night.
It was unbelievable that they had only watched TV all night while alone in a room with a beautiful woman.
Also, Diana had just bought this TV last night, and there was no such thing in her living room before. It was nothing for him to stay up all night, but he was extremely bored after watching TV all night long, even with a beauty by his side.
Finally, when the guy in the TV show said his perfect farewell, Diana got up and turned off the TV. She lazily stretched, and her graceful figure was fully displayed in front of Jack.

The cool breeze blew on his face, making him slightly more curious. His mind began to recall everything that had happened since he arrived in this world, and Jack became suspicious.
Diana's behavior towards him was very strange, and her gaze was also puzzling to Jack. It was a mix of excitement with a hint of sadness, and inside of the sadness, there was genuine joy.
'Could it be that Diana had known him for a long time? No, that's not right. He had only just arrived in the DC universe.'
'But then again, the way she had kissed him and then tried to kill him - was this normal behavior for a stranger?'
Jack sighed, wishing he had arrived earlier so that he could have had a chance to experience a heroic love story with Diana. However, it was too late for that now.
Jack sighed softly and suddenly had a sparkle of knowledge.
'The Time travel?'
He suddenly remembered a line on his movie ticket: "Travel through time and space without restrictions."
In other words, he could potentially travel to any time in the DC universe.
'Could it be that he would travel back in time and meet Diana? It was very possible. This could also explain why Diana had been acting so strangely towards him.'
'Maybe she already knew him.'
"What are you thinking?"
The voice behind him brought him back to reality. He turned around to see Diana leaning against the window, wearing a bathrobe and drying her long, damp hair. She was smiling at him with a shining smile.
She seemed to love smiling, especially when she was with him.
Jack's heart skipped a beat, thinking that he might be right.
But he didn't dare to ask directly because there were so many different timelines that he couldn't be sure which one he would end up in, or whether he would meet the right Diana.
So, he decided to be mindful and see if he could gather some useful information without making himself look stupid.
"I was just thinking...about Steve Trevor. I hear they say he was a heroic fighter."
Jack stared intently at Diana, he didn't want to miss any expression on her face.
"Steve... he was a good man," said Diana, her expression suddenly turning sad, and her eyes filled with a hint of grief as she recalled memories of the past.
Seeing Diana's expression, Jack's heart suddenly hurt.
Indeed, she had a story with Steve, which meant that he had come too late. Jack didn't notice the deeper meaning behind Diana's words.
He suddenly wanted to finish the conversion quickly and leave this place.
'Ah, Diana, what an excellent woman, but sadly, someone else got there first.'
"Let's go, let's take care of your business first, and then mine," Jack said, quickly passing by Diana and walking towards the door. "I'll wait for you outside."
Diana did not stop him, and as she watched him leave, her expression became weird. She suddenly walked to the display shelf in the living room and picked up a photo frame, gently wiping away the dust on it while murmuring to herself.
"How could you not notice? Don't blame me, blame yourself for not looking," she said, then placed the photo frame back on the shelf, took off her bathrobe, and walked into the bedroom naked with her graceful figure.
Inside the photo frame were a man and a woman embracing and kissing in the sunset.

At the roadside waiting area, Jack sat on the hood of a taxi, smoking a cigarette with a sad expression. He wasn't really that sad, but the thought of missing out on such an amazing woman as Diana made him feel like smashing his head against a wall.
Sighing deeply, Jack suddenly felt the urge to dig out Steve Trevor's body and destroy it.
"Don't smoke!"
Diana came downstairs at some point and saw Jack smoking, so she walked over and took the cigarette from him.
Jack didn't pay much attention to Diana taking away his cigarette. He stood up and walked to the passenger seat, saying.
"Let's go, let's find the person you mentioned."
After he finished speaking, he sat in the passenger seat. Diana shook her head and sat in the back seat as the taxi drove off.
The atmosphere in the car was somewhat sad.
Jack didn't know what to say, and his heart was complicated.
'He liked Diana, of course, like any man would be moved by such an amazing woman.'
But Diana's past emotional experiences made him hesitate.
He didn't care about anything else, but he just couldn't imagine Diana kissing another man like she had kissed him last night.

"If you don't want to die, keep your eyes to yourself. I won't say it a second time! Take us to our destination, and this is yours!"

As Jack finished speaking, a big golden brick slammed down on the windshield.
The guy, who had just looked desperate, instantly lit up when he saw the gold brick, turned his car, and stepped on the gas pedal without hesitation.
The taxi drove out onto the lively Manhattan street, giving off the feeling of being chased by bandits. Diana in the back seat never spoke, and her bright eyes were set on Jack the whole time. When she saw what he had done, she smiled naively.
This man, it turned out that he had always been so domineering.
