Chapter 1: Prologue
A specific change could shift the very fabric of reality as we know it. A young lowclass Saiyan family on the plains of Planet Vegeta stood with three spacepods. Gine, Kakarot, Bardock, and his best friend, Dive though he never admitted it. Unknown to Bardock and any person else in this reality he is a reincarnation.
"I's time." Bardock said.
I looked to Bardock with confusion, before it hit him..."
(Flashback)
Frieza! Listen up! We quit! All of us! Got it!? We don't work for you! We're free! You can find someone else to do your dirty work!"
Bardock continued to smile in joy. He was relishing the moment. Finally talking back to Frieza definitely felt good for him. Truly believing that the Saiyan race would continue on. Free of Frieza's influence. But in response to the Saiyan's bravado, Frieza raised his hand beside his face with his finger pointing straight up.
The tiny ball of ki remained in place on the tip of his black fingernail.
Bardock could feel his body building up with adrenaline once again. His energy raising at its height as he began to channel it into his twitching right hand.
"Oh yeah. There is one last thing."
In a flash of blue light, Bardock formed a bright blue ki ball that shined from his open right palm. Glowing ever brighter as he pumped more energy into it.
"This is for all the people that we killed in your name! I wish we were never foolish enough to obey you!"
Determined to end the reign of Lord Frieza once and for all, Bardock reared his right arm back. Moments away from unleashing one of his strongest attacks. The Final Spirit Cannon.
"HERE!!! HAVE IT!!!"
(Flashback end)
I forced myself out of my daze and stared at Bardock...
"I guess it is..." I said in agreement.
He closed his eyes, "You know...every single Saiyan on this damned planet, refused to believe me and yet you did."
I raised my eyebrow, "and, you are surprised about that?"
He gave a slight chuckle, "I guess I shouldn't be." before he reopened his eyes again. "That's why I am asking you a favor right now."
I tilted my head, "Oh? and what would that be?"
"Look after Gine for me..."
I sighed, "Bardock, you don't have to do that...you can come with us."
"I am afraid I won't be able to live myself if I just let Frieza destroy the Saiyans without attempting to at least stop him." Bardock growled, "I will not continue this conversation further."
The two of us turned to Gine who was tending to Kakarot for a final time on Planet Vegeta.
I sighed, before nodding and respecting my friends request, "Alright Bardock I will take care of your family."
Bardock nodded, "I am proud to have met you, Dive." he said, "You were an interesting, change of pace from the usual...violence, conquer, destroy..that I always see, all the time."
"If things work out well, I will come find you." Bardock said, I nodded, a grey aura formed in existence before he took off into the skies.
"Bardock wait!" Gine who was tending to Kakarot and had put him into the pod was startled when her husband was seen blasting off..
"Dive, What is he doing!?"
"Stalling." I said as I quickly opened the pod and got her inside, "Frieza has arrived quicker than we had expected, he wants us to get out of here as quickly as possible."
That struck fear in Gine's heart, but she understood and nodded slowly, the two of us sent Kakarot off, before she and I got in our spaceships as well and launched off after him....
"LOOK, DEDORIA, ZARBON, LOOK AT THE BEAUTIFUL FIREWORKS AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"
Suddenly...much to my surprise
"Anomaly detected." The robotic voice echoed across the ships mainframe.
A wormhole suddenly appeared in front of the two of us, and swallowed us whole."
