Chapter 25: CH25- Another PP, Practice Makes Perfect!

"Good job Chris, I told you, my PP technique never fails!" I congratulated my friend. After only 2 grueling hours of training, he had managed to master the PP technique and learned that practice makes perfect.
'Practice makes perfect? That's another PP!' I internally gasped amusingly.
"When can I apply this… technique to larger currents of electricity?" He asked, ignoring most of my congratulatory statement while slightly panting.
"Eh, we'll train again tomorrow. There's no rush to master everything all at once.. for now." Chris nodded in agreement and followed me back to the house.
Once inside the house, it appeared that everyone was back in the house at the same time. Wanda and surprisingly Laura were watching a movie together while sharing popcorn.
"Hey wait a minute! You're watching my favorite movie without me? And it's at my favorite part!" I exclaimed in mock disbelief.
["Adrian! Adrian!"] The very battered man on the TV yelled.
["Rocky? Rocky!"] An overly dressed woman yelled back.
'Damn! He lost the fight and still got the girl.' Of course, I already knew this. I've seen the movie many times and I still couldn't deny it was a classic.
"Well you should've been here earlier Azrael." Laura teased while Wanda nodded in agreement.
"How about we marathon the rest of the movies then? All of us, so I won't miss it anymore." I offered. Laura and Wanda looked at each other and came up with a decision without saying a word. Almost as if they were reading each others mind. Kind of like twin telepathy.
"We'll allow it." Laura said.
'I could've read their minds to hear that decision anyway.' There's no fun in that though.
"Alright, I'll go get the love birds." I said, playfully rolling my eyes while putting emphasis on the words, "love birds."
Chris sat down on the couch and waited for me to come back with Hisako and Pietro. I was about to put my hand on their door knob to the room to open their closed door, but then I heard sounds.
Very… traumatizing sounds. Sounds that made me want to stab my ears to never hear anything ever again.
"They don't call me the fastest man alive for nothing baby."
"I hope you last as long as you do when you run."
I walked away in haste after hearing my older brother and my friend say such things and sat on the floor in front of Laura and laid my head into her thighs, trying to get their words and voices out of my head.
'The worst kind of schizophrenia.' I joked.
"You didn't get Pietro and Hisako?" Wanda asked. Laura and Chris looked at me as well, wondering why I didn't.
"They are doing a separate activity from us." I said slowly. They all put on different faces. Wanda was mock disgusted, Chris was amused, and Laura just looked at me.
"When are-?"
"Let's watch Rocky II!" I quickly exclaimed, interrupting her sentence that would probably incriminate me to a teasing session from Wanda.
"Alright." Wanda said with a shrug, turning it on. Before the movie started, I made sure to text Pablo all the information I collected regarding the making of Undertale.

It's been a few weeks and I've already described specifically and carefully what I need the graphics to look like for the game to be successful to Pablo. He said he would hit me back up when the game would be ready to launch on Steam, console, and other platforms and devices for $9.99.
For now, I had to find other ways to occupy myself. Ever since escaping the HYDRA base, it feels like I'm missing something important to my character. I'm missing the action. The thrill of fighting.
I've even started hoping for something, anything to happen. I wanted to be active more than anything else.
For now, all I could do was spend quality time with my lovely girlfriend. I never took Laura for the type who actively searched for cuddles out of me.
'I guess I have to thank Wanda for that. Whatever she did, it made Laura more energetic during 24 hours of the day.' I looked down at the sleeping woman in my arms and gently pushed her away from me. I gently laid her head on a pillow and her body under the covers.
I grabbed my laptop and searched the internet for anything to do. Not finding anything, I embraced my adventurous side and left the house in a half mask and glasses to conceal my face as I searched.
I walked for a long time, but found nothing. Just as I was going to turn around and go home in defeat, a flyer posted onto a wall in a random alley way had caught my eye.
"Daughter of the Dragon set to fight tonight at 8:00?" I looked at my watch and saw that it was 7.
'That name sounds familiar. Eh, I've got time to spare. I'm decently versed in hand to hand combat, it might be a learning opportunity to watch this fight.' I convinced myself.
I put the address on the flyer into my phone and led myself there. As soon as I entered, a realization hit me as soon as all the screams hit me.
'This is an underground cage fighting location.' This still didn't ring any bells as to who this "Daughter of the Dragon" was.
I got a spot close by the cage and waited for the fights to start. Of course, I didn't pay for a ticket.
'Superpowered people don't have to pay for tickets.'
