Chapter 11: Chapter 11 : A matter between Alphas

An annoying sound pulls me out of my reverie. It buzzes and buzzes around me, like a bee. It makes me grunt and open my eyes until I finally see it's my phone.

“Shit,” I say, seeing who it is.

Levi is next to me. He is sound asleep. Carefully I get out of bed and grab my robe, hastily put it on and go out to the balcony so I can talk. At my feet lay the clothes from the night before, reminding me exactly what I've been doing for the past few hours and the reason Levi is as exhausted as I feel.

“Hello?” I answer in a whisper.

“I can't believe you did this to me,” Rose says on the other end of the line.

Her voice is broken. She's obviously been crying. Rose has always been like that, a very sensitive and sweet girl that I've always taken care of, because she has the ability to emulate that kind of aura, as if she needs protection.

I have always taken care of her, and for the same reason, we are very close. At the sound of her voice my heart breaks and I can't help but worry.
