Chapter 134: Trick 133: Sharon to the rescue!

Strange watched Mordo go before saying "Let's go back…" as he stepped into a portal, Wong looked at Ace and asked "You coming?" Ace nodded before turning around and walking into the portal as it closed behind him.

Ace stepped onto the stone courtyard once again, looking at the ancient Kamar-Taj again, feeling a familiar feeling, but finding it to be so much emptier than it was before. There was something different, something foreign.

He felt like he didn't belong here anymore.

Wong patted Ace's shoulder saying "Come with me. There's something you should see." Strange looked at him and Wong nodded at him, walking away as Ace followed him, leaving Stephen behind.

Wong brought Ace to Yao's chamber, saying "A few years after you left, Master Ancient One had tasked me with giving this to you should you return." as he picked up a box from under Yao's desk.

He turned to Ace and continued "One can only assume Master Ancient One had foreseen all before her time on this plane was finished." Ace held the box and opened it gently, revealing a neatly folded robe, a Slingring, and a smaller box along with a letter.

Ace looked at the things silently and Wong said "You know, there was never a case where she showed anyone such favor. Not even my father had seen it before. I thought you should know that." before nodding at Ace with a straight face, walking by him and leaving the chamber, closing the door behind him.

Ace pulled out the letter and dropped the box, spilling the contents on the ground as he unfolded the letter, reading it slowly.

'Ace,

Clearly, Dormammu has been dealt with. I commend you all on your achievement, should you be reading this, I assume I have moved on to a new path. I must remark that I am grateful to have you listen to my final wishes… Perhaps it was selfish of me to ask this of you, however I believe that it was necessary.

I should have met you beforehand, so I will be brief.

Thank you. Thank you for teaching me a lesson I had nearly forgotten in all my centuries of life. Just as I had thought myself removed from sentiments, you had unwittingly made me realize that sentiments were the reason I ever became a Sorcerer to begin with.

Perhaps I was wrong to delegate Kamar-Taj to strictly neutral on worldly affairs, unwilling to provide aid to the many innocents below our mountains, and yet… Perhaps not.

You see, time is rarely a straight line, sometimes it may resemble a tree, other times perhaps a loop… Occasionally you may even find a shape that you cannot explain time to be and yet… it is.

Centuries I've peered through time, watching tragic events unfold time and time again, countless possibilities have crossed my path and yet no matter how many actions I take, they always seem to have a habit of happening.

Just as Strange will always come to Kamar-Taj, Disasters will continue to knock on the doorstep of our world. I had given up on the people, focusing my efforts on saving our reality instead. For a long time, I had ignored pleas and continued on this path but you haven't.

You and Strange have something that I have wasted.

Time.

Endless time, with infinite possibilities and countless opportunities for goodness.

I believe you and he can shape what Kamar-Taj should've been, together. As the Captain would say 'You may lose, but you will lose together.' Perhaps centuries from now, we may meet again… I would love to hear your adventures and stories once more…

Your master,

Yao.

P.S: I've taught you better than to mishandle artifacts, pick them up.'

The Letter trembled in his hands as tears dripped onto the paper, disappearing instantly. Ace turned his head and looked at the things on the ground. He picked up them all, putting them on a desk before rubbing his eyes with one hand.

He took his hand off his face and looked at the cloak on the desk, slowly picking it up.

He held it up in front of him and the sunlight shone through the window, lighting up the room as the cloak fluttered in front of him.

Ace looked at the cloak and a sentence ran in his mind gently in the voice of Yao, "Death is a part of life to be celebrated, little one." he gripped the cloak tightly and wrapped it around himself.

He suddenly felt whole and warm, smiling slightly with his eyes closed as the crack on his face widened by an inch! He sucked in a breath of air and opened his eyes, completely calm.

There was no noise, no fancy effects, nothing.

The three Deathly Hallows were together once again just like that.

Only a peaceful silence remained as Ace slipped on his slingring and put away his tarot cards, walking out of Yao's chamber.

He looked up at the sun and smiled gently, opening his palm as a card appeared, folding into a delicate owl as Ace said "Notify Wong that I have something to do." the Owl nudged his fingers before flying away as Ace took a step, his cloak devouring him as he disappeared into nothing.

Ace appeared in his house and looked at the books in the library in silence. Sharon walked in and smiled "You're back! Are you okay?" Ace turned to her and smiled gently, nodding.

Sharon walked over and hugged him, saying "Good. You looked worried…" Ace held her and rubbed her back, replying "Something happened, I took care of it." Sharon nodded and kissed him, saying "Good!"

Before returning to usual as she smirked "Cus it's your turn to change diapers…" Ace froze and Sharon ran off, giggling "Have fun, loser! Hahahaha~" Ace shouted angrily "You bitch! I changed diapers yesterday!"

She was gone but her voice echoed "So? I'm your wife, you should be ready to help! I bet that couch is stiff!" Ace's lips twitched and he replied "I want a divorce!" She shouted back, "Fine! I call dibs on the house and kids!"

Ace gawked at the empty doorway, completely speechless before shouting "I hate you!" Sharon replied "Awe~ Just like when you left me!" Ace held his heart and had no response, what a cunt!

He was in love!

Months started passing slowly
