Chapter 48: Good Things Comes in the Morning

Keira was shaving her legs after a cold shower when her apartment door opened with a creak. 

She quickly assumed that just Ryan finally waking up from his drooling sleep cost her one stain removal team for her old couch. 

However, not a minute later, there were cling-clanking sounds from the direction of her tiny kitchen. Then, the sound of a knife against her rarely-used chopping board. 

She frowned. 

Ryan would never touch one kitchen appliance, let alone cooking. Knowing her brother, he would rather be dead than cook for himself. 

Also, their mother had banned Ryan from the kitchen when he decided to make a big pot of tomato soup. And then left to play a game in his room and forgot about it for hours. They had to call firefighters at that time, 

Thus, was the birth of her growing suspicion. 

She didn't want to call a brigade of firefighters just because Ryan decided to make breakfast for once.
