Chapter 137: Recovery

"Five minutes are up Prudence," she heard Vincent's voice and her body sprung up from the bed. He was sitting right beside her, just like yesterday, holding his pocket watch in his hand. 

Her brows creased, "people will think wrong, why do you always sit beside me on the bed?" 

Vincent chuckled at her words. She looked surprisingly energetic. Like her week worth of healing was done in one night's sleep. He slipped the pocket watch back in his vest pocket and Prudence could see the Mafia king was dressed well. "You leave this side open so it must be for me," Vincent teased her while leaning closer to her. 

In the spurr of her feelings, Prudence turned to get down from the bed when Vincent came to stand in front of her using his super speed.
