Chapter 17: CHAPTER 17

SCOTT

"Blade, I saw Blade." She whispered to Owen. Owen's eyes quickly found mine. I went near them and handed the bottled water to Owen. I only hope that she doesn't see my face.

"Scott, can you leave us for a while?" Owen asked. I nodded, quickly left the room, and waited outside the door, leaning my back on the wall. I hope Lara doesn't recognize me as Blade before I can tell her the truth.

After thirty minutes, Owen stepped out the door and closed it gently behind him, and faced me.

"Let's talk downstairs. She went back to sleep." Owen said and went downstairs. I followed behind him, praying in my mind. We settled in the living room, sitting beside each other on the couch.

"How did she know I was there?" I asked, leaning on the couch.
