BANG!

This tremendous noise jolted me awake, sending my heart racing as I bolted upright in bed. My eyes snapped open, and I whirled around to find Carlos standing at my door. In his hand, he held two papers.

"What the hell do you wa—"

"AJ and Montero are the jurors for my case," Carlos said, cutting off my question before I could fully form it. "What do you mean for your case? There are a lot of cases going on in Rome, and you suppose AJ and Montero were chosen for yours?" I asked, my arms folding across my chest. "It's mine because that's what I was told. My trial is in two weeks," Carlos explained.
