Cas felt his sigh shudder down the timeline of his life.

Everyone thought the wolf world was small, contained within Birchwoods, which was also much bigger than anyone wanted to digest in their mental stores. No one wanted to grasp the entire scope of the maps drawn, rolled up, and stashed wherever by the pack Alphas.

Even Cas didn’t want to understand the scope of just how far out the tree lines were. Ten years and multiple crossings over the invisible border toward human civilizations, he’d never made it around the entire perimeter. It had taken his own pack to establish it over its own decade; the beginnings of Whitecrown comprised of lone wolves and strays traveling and sketching with the intent to make sense of a place they had barely discovered.
