Chapter 7: In Daze
Chapter 7
viLelouch's POV
"Ugh," Andy groaned .
She was lifelessly sipping her chocolate shake in the school cafeteria with Donna sitting opposite her.
Bothered, her friend inquired what happen and so she soullessly told the embarrassing tale on her first day at Mohr's with nothing added and nothing omitted.
Donna, begun to hold her laughter as the story progressed. She was grinning that made Andy to rolled her eyes time to time while continuing to tell the story.
A stifle of laughter could be heard when Donna seemed not to hold it in any longer.
Then boom—
The girl finally let out her suppressed laughter; a belly laugh at that which made others in the place to turn their heads on them with curious and scrutinizing eyes.
'Oh'
Oh just how Andy wanted to hit her friend but never did. She just raised her other arm to support her chin instead.
Then like a cliché of some romance movies, where everything moves in slow motion—
… right there, at that moment, something caught her eye from a distance.
Her gaze followed it intently.
The voices, the noise, the passerby and even her friend infront of her seemed to vanish at that given time.
All she could see was that 'something' and— all she could hear was the pounding of her heart.
Nothing seemed matter other than what she's seeing.
Meanwhile, Donna noticed that her friend was in a daze.
Following Andy's line of sight, she can't fathom what or who her friend was looking at intently. Waving her hand to disrupt the girl did not change anything too.
Annoyed, she pulled Andy's hand, the hand that the girl used to support her chin.
The sudden action made Andy to almost knock her jaw on the hard wooden table and there she realized her state.
She begun to notice her surroundings; the people, the noise. She felt like she has been pulled out from the void.
She groaned in the realization.
"Why are you in a daze?" Donna curiously asked.
"Did I?" Andy feigned ignorance of it.
"Yeah, who was that?" Donna pressed on.
"Who?" Andy again feigned it but her blush sold her out.
Donna's right brow lifted up, eyes turned into a slit line making her friend whine.
Sensing that there's no way out, Andy hesitatingly give in.
"Oh, she's a classmate in most of my major subjects," she answered trying to sound nonchalant but failed.
'ugh'
Donna did not say anything but her brow arched higher than before emphasizing a more questioning look.
"What?" Andy asked, her sound whining, looking at her curious and inquiring friend.
Donna smirked then continued to eat her cookies. She did not pry any further as she noticed the uneasiness in her friend.
'Is that how you're supposed to look at your classmate?'
'A girl at that?' she complained in her thoughts.
She wanted to say it directly but decided to keep it inside— for now and let her friend breath.
'hahaha'
