Chapter 12: WHO'S LUCK?
Hearing this, John, who was originally looking straight ahead, immediately glanced at his daughter who was currently beside him. The man grabbed one of Via's wrists which made someone beside him look at him sadly.
"Why do you have to apologize to me?"
"Sorry, because ..." Via's eyes were already teary, the girl was about to cry so now she immediately lowered her head with a shaking back. In the end, she couldn't hide her tears. "Why am I crying like this? Haven't I grown up? Why should I cry? Especially in front of you."
"Shh ... listen to Dad, Via. You don't need to feel weak just because you cry in front of me. If you are sad and want to cry, it is a very natural thing, even I am very happy because you want to show the sadness you are feeling right now ."

"Dad's daughter must be strong," said John as he spread his arms. "Daddy will always be ready to be a place for you to complain, Honey. If Via is sad and ready to tell stories, then come to me."
Hearing that made Via's cry even more broken so that now the girl immediately stood up from her seat and hugged a man who was in front of her tightly. This time her sobs got louder, making John, who knew about it, hug her even tighter.
This time, John prefers to be quiet and calm his daughter instead of forcing her to tell Via the truth. The man didn't want to be a selfish parent so he now learned to listen to what the child felt and wanted.
In the room at this time, someone had been watching with a look full of emotion. Seeing the closeness of a father and daughter succeeded in making her touched so now Mara nodded her head smiling at what her husband had done.

Feeling that she had had enough, now Mara decided to go back out of Via's room. She wanted to make room for her daughter with her father so that all she did was leave before her daughter realized she was there.
Even then John had seen everything, the man smiled and sighed before finally deciding to let go of the hug from someone who was in front of him at this time.
Seeing his daughter's visible face had just cried, John immediately cupped her face.
"Don't cry anymore, will you, Honey? I know that Via is a strong child. No matter what problems you're facing, don't ever think about giving up."
"Okay, Dad. Thank you for caring about me."
"You're welcome, Via."
After that Via also smiled seeing her father who had been staring at her with a smile that never disappeared.
"Now it's time for you to sleep, okay? Don't cry anymore."
"Yes, Daddy. All right, I'll go to bed now."
"Okay, then Dad's gone, okay? You ... are you okay, Honey? Are you feeling better now?"

John who heard that was also happy, the man stroked the top of his daughter's head and then stepped away from there leaving Via who was still standing in place while watching him go.
"Now it feels really good, though I still can't tell mom and dad what happened."
Via lowered her head with a weary face before finally looking up again to look up at where so many stars adorn the sky at night. The girl promised not to be sad again, except ... when the second time to meet him again.
In the end, the girl decided to go back into the room and looked around her room then took a deep breath before finally deciding to lie down on the bed and start pulling the blanket and closing her eyes.

"John, what ---" The man gave a code not to speak so now Mara was just silent with a sad look. Then John said, "Looks like she's hiding something, and ... I can't force her."
Hearing what her husband said made Mara immediately bow her head, not long after that, she started to shed tears. John who was in front of her immediately looked sad, then took the woman into his arms.
"Don't cry," whispered John with one hand rubbing the woman's back in an attempt to comfort her.
"I can't see her sad, John."
"Yes, I understand your feelings, Mara. But sorry, I can't do it yet, it's better to wait for our child to tell it than to force her to tell the truth but her heart still can't accept it."
