Chapter 305: Friendship Between Men

"That's because you didn't search carefully enough. Is this what high school students are called? Don't laugh yourself to death."

  A familiar mocking voice.

Shinichi turned his head and saw that Fuutarou was the same as him. He stepped into the lake.

He brushed back his thick bangs and he snorted.

"That actually made the 2nd ranked student ask for my help. This forest school is so much fun."

  Shinichi couldn't help laughing.

"Hehe, what an unexpected helper... Strange, have you been following me all this time?"

"Seeing how weak you are, I didn't expect you to run so fast, Tsundere." Fuutarou pretended to be innocent and wiped the sweat off his forehead, and continued to sneer, "Why? There's still time to chat? Aren't you in a hurry? Your friends are waiting for you, right?"

"Ah, indeed." Shinichi doesn't talk nonsense. After shrugging his shoulders, he looked at him and said, "Help me."

  Fuutarou rolled up his sleeves.

  "Explain quickly."

"In three minutes. What I'm looking for is a square, palm-sized remote control." Shinichi stretched out his hand and gestured to an area, "I fell into the water near here in the afternoon, and it might fall here."

  "OKAY."

Fuutarou didn't talk nonsense, he started stirring the lake water.

"You seem to have caught a lot of fish." Shinichi spoke.

"When I was little… I used to go to my grandmother's house in the countryside to play." Fuutarou answered in a daze.

"Kamakura, I used to go back a lot."

"Call the elderly more, they are very lonely."

"I didn't need you to teach me... You didn't see me running into the forest, and you followed me because you were worried about what would happen?"

"...Shut up and look for your things quietly."

"Tsk, for the sake of being a good person, I won't call you disgusting."

"For the sake of being a good person, I won't splash water on your face."

"No, the picture of two men splashing water on each other is really not good."

"...I completely lost my mind when I came here." Fuutarou spat uncomfortably, but his hand didn't stop.

Shinichi looked at the water with a very bright smile.

"Ha, it turns out that friends are a brain-damaging thing. I just found out now."

  "...Snort."

Fuutarou didn't speak, and kept splashing sand and mud, polluting the supposedly clear lake water.

About two and a half minutes passed.

  "Hey, is this true?"

Fuutarou tossed him a gray rectangular box.

After receiving the confirmation, Shinichi breathed a sigh of relief: "That's right, thank you."

Seeing that the task was successfully completed, Fuutarou went ashore without even greeting, took his shoes and socks and walked away.

Shinichi saw his bare feet stepping on a water mark on the ground.

"Not waiting to do some work before leaving?"

"Disgusting, who would want to live in a place like this with you."

That's when Shinichi remembers that the lake in the forest at night was originally a beautiful place he arranged to become a shrine for dating...

A chill suddenly appeared on his back, he shook off the water stains on his hands, and said with disdain on his face.

"Don't hit the tree when you come back."

"You don't drown in the lake."

Shinichi sat on the beach, put his feet on the edge of the lake, and pointed his middle finger at his back.

After Fuutarou completely disappeared into the dark forest, he shook his head and smiled.

"It really is an inexplicable friendship..."

  But not bad.

Taking the remote control in his hand, Shinichi walked to the bench beside him, he turned on the microphone that had just been muted.

  "Itsuki, what's the situation?"

"It's almost over." Itsuki looked really nervous, "What next?"

"Tell me five seconds before the bonfire goes out completely, then look up at the sky."

Shinichi leaned back on the bench and said quietly, "This is the last step."

Originally intended as a surprise and a decoration on a cake, fireworks have now become a timely present, ushering in another ending to the forest school that was nearly destroyed.

Shinichi isn't sure if this method is useful, if it can make the students ignore the accident, and if it can make the teachers see their intention to work hard to recover.

He didn't know if he could succeed, but as long as there was a possibility of succeeding, it was worth pursuing.

"Asada-kun, it's been five seconds!" Itsuki's voice was even more hurried, like she was running.

Shinichi opened his eyes, looked up at the sky, and immediately pressed the big red button in the middle of the remote control.

  *Whoosh*

Smoke from five directions, carrying a sharp sound that cut through the darkness.

Then it became a faint pentagram pattern across the sky.

Representing the five of them, one is indispensable.

  Then fireworks exploded.

  *🎇*

Shinichi looked up at the sky.

Fireworks are custom made.

Chika says that different festivals need to use different fireworks. If all fireworks were the same, it wouldn't be able to reflect it desire to celebrate and thank them.

Therefore, Shinichi ordered five fireworks representing the quintuplets.

Although the fireworks display that takes less than 30 seconds isn't worth mentioning, at least everyone will be intrigued by the five very bright and distinctive fireworks ahead, as long as the ending isn't too sloppy.

  Shinichi spoke softly.

  "This month, thank you everyone."
