Chapter 115: She Who Retold Her Past

"Please, just give me another chance, I need you and our child in my life."

Ray pleaded, his voice was full of remorse and guilt over what had happened to me. I could see that he had truly suffered and he was sincere. All the signs of a husband trying to come back were all there. 

Yet I do not feel anything anymore. I was empty, hallow. But in order to salvage the family I agreed to it. It was for Claude's sake. Not mine, besides, it was not healthy for a child to grow up in a broken family. 

I left him, you see. After what happened to me, I thought that he would be supportive and that he would at least handle the expenses since I needed to go to the doctor several times because of my sudden condition. I was wrong. 

"Claude doesn't have milk anymore," he told me a week after the incident.
