Looking at the peaceful, picture-like Charlotte Cooper lying on the hospital bed, Henry Russell felt a sharp pain in his heart.

He reached out his hand, softly caressing Charlotte's fair face, as if trying to burn her delicate features into his heart.

After a moment, Henry got out his phone, dialed a number, and called.

"Mr. Russell, is there something you need from me?" came Ivy Brookfield's voice from the other end of the phone.

"I want to know when surgery can be performed?" Henry glanced fondly at the bed, before walking towards the floor-to-ceiling window of the hospital room, his hand pocketed in his suit trousers.

"Once all the physical indicators have been checked, the surgery can be arranged for the next few days if all runs smoothly," Ivy said thoughtfully after a moment's hesitation.

Upon hearing this, Henry looked blankly out of the window.
