"Don't struggle."

The person whispered in her ear, and Charlotte Cooper found the voice somewhat familiar.

The person dragged her to a quiet corner and whispered, "I'll let go, but don't scream."

Charlotte nodded, and as she turned around, she indeed saw Lucas Carter standing behind her.

"How did you get here?"

"You have to come with me right now."

They both spoke simultaneously, and Charlotte looked at him in surprise, "What do you mean?"

"This isn't an ordinary gathering; there are shady people inside, so it's best not to get involved," Lucas said while warily looking around.

"I haven't found Director Meng yet," Charlotte said, doubting Lucas's claim about shady people at the party.

"Have you found him?" He asked.

"No, maybe he's on the second floor."

Lucas looked at her, "Whether he's there or not, you can't stay any longer. This place is trouble. If the police come, no one can get away. Your desire to see him can wait; there will always be opportunities."
