Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Love, Blood, and Fangs

Marcus Cutler POV:

I had been woken up in the early morning by a text from an unknown number. It was just an address, but that only meant one thing.

The kill team had arrived in town, and this was where I was supposed to meet them.

The address I’d been given was for an old, boarded up building. I couldn’t tell what it used to be just by looking at it, but if I had to guess, I’d say it had been a school. There weren’t any other cars around as I pulled into the parking lot, but I wasn’t expecting there to be. Once I was sure there was no one watching the building on the outside, I went in through the front door.

Once I stepped inside, something cold and hard was pressed against my right temple.

“Name and position,” a gruff voice ordered.

I took a deep breath. “Marcus Cutler,” I replied. “Hunter.”

The object was removed from my head. “Turn and look at me,” the voice instructed.
