Chapter 53: A favor

Through the silence, gently the sound of wind made its way inside and finally broke the awkward and deadly stillness. Ms. Kilia who was getting indigestion after hearing such words slightly cleared her throat as she spoke, "Are you mocking me?"

"No, why would I mock a friend of mine!" Mrs. Terrie smirked.

Her expressions were bad and Mrs. Terrie could see clearly how hard Kilia was trying to keep herself cool and calm, unfazed by this serious topic. "Just stop with this. We aren't friends to begin with and neither I have the patience to talk with you about my dead child. Leave!" her loud and clear words still didn't do much to Mrs. Terrie who remained seated with a smile on her face.
