Chapter 58: Part 3: Chapter 58: Roger demands Sonia’s return

"Baaka passed away," Roger informed Tau. It sounded cold, and with no one to help they watched her decline. The news did not come as a shock.

"Takziah." (Condolences) Tau said. Roger sat down, distracted. Quietly they drank the brew Lamya brought.

"You need to find the nurse," Roger said after a while.

"Why?"

"He threatens to take my sons."

"What does Sonia have to do with your sons?"

"You remember the deal."

"Leres! (Never) I will never forget." At once Roger became livid. "You will find her. For now I have appeased him with valuable supplies, but it's not enough."

"I don't care. Besides, where must I look for her?"

"She's your woman. You will know."

"I don't." Tau stood ready to leave, but Roger held him back.
