Wen Xi's head hurt. Grandma He didn't care much for taboos.
She didn't reply, she seemed to be mad.
Wen Xi sent a voice message. "Then I'll go lock myself up for one day, and I'll greet Grandma He the next day."
After that, a reply came.
Madam He: Since you're being a good girl I'll barely forgive you a little- come to my house this Friday night. It's my grandson's birthday. (Curve-eyed smile).
Wen Xi thought about it and replied with a 'yes'. She didn't have anything to do that night anyway.
Later, she went out with Jiang Ke.
The two had arranged a time, and Wen Xi arrived five minutes earlier.
Not long after Jiang Ke had also arrived, with a camera bag. She must have just been doing some photography.
A couple of minutes later.
"What! You're transferring?" Jiang Ke had never looked so shocked in her life.
Wen Xi nodded calmly. "That's right. It's not far from the medical school, just one street away."
"Then it's Jing Film School, isn't it? Didn't your dad tell you not to go?"
Wen Xi smiled. "Who knows what could change. Anyway, I'll go to the film department when the school year starts."
Jiang Ke calmed down a bit before laying on the table, depressed. "That's nice, you get to pursue your dreams again, unlike me, always sneaking off to take pictures."
She weakly shook her camera bag around, her handsome eyes looking up.
A while later, she spoke up. "Right, isn't your sister in Jing Film School as a second year? With the position she's in now, it'll be much easier for you to enter the entertainment industry! I bet it won't be long before the media digs up your connection to her and starts publishing it in the news!"
Wen Xi took a drink, seemingly thinking about something.
Two years ago, Wen Qing failed to get into the school. Her dad had to make use of his connections to get her in. Not long after, Kexin started up a management company for Wen Qing, pulling resources for her and paving the path. It was how she'd managed to make such a big name for herself in such a short time.
The sun had started to set, and she returned home.
Wen Qing was home already, and was currently working with Zhou Ling to persuade her dad.
Looking at Wen Qing and Kexin's gazes, Wen Xi had an idea of what was going on.
It seemed that her father had chosen his own beliefs over his wife's.
After all, they were what calmed him down.
Wen Xi looked to Wen Guosheng and spoke softly. "I'm my father's daughter. I won't be a cowardly turtle! Sis, don't worry, I won't be afraid."
Hearing that, Guodsheng spoke up. "Alright, all of you stop it. It's decided!"
With that, he looked to his daughter. "Qing, as her sister, you'll have to take care of Xixi at school."
"Guosheng, that's..." Wen Qing grabbed her mom's hand in time, shaking her head and turning to Guosheng. "Don't worry, Dad, I'll take care of Xixi."
"That's good." Guosheng said, satisfied.
