Chapter 64: Give Me a Chance 2

While she processed the face in front of her, he settled comfortably in the seat across from her. Leaning his elbow against the hard table surface, he supported his face using his palm. He asked, "Did you order already?"

Shaking her head in response, he raised his arm to get the waiter's attention. Without another look at the menu, he ordered a breakfast combo with a cup of mocha. Turning his attention towards her, he asked, "Sorry, I rushed here so I haven't eaten yet. Are you hungry?"

"No. Just warm water is fine with me. I don't plan on staying long." She could feel the heaviness of her saliva filling her stomach. If this conversation goes the way she thinks it will go, she might actually flip a table in public.

"Honestly, I'm quite surprised you would ask me out on a date." He shamelessly remarked as he combed his hair backwards.

"Excuse me?" Her brow raised on one side as she questioned his intelligence level if he had any.

"Who would have known it would take so little challenge to catch your attention?" The waiter brought the drinks over to their table and placed it down before walking away.

"Okay, first of all, there is a miscommunication between us. This is not a date and we are not going out in any kind of relationship status. I called you out today thinking you were the female classmate who used her phone to follow my Instagram. Please explain why you showed up in her place instead." She nearly smashed her palms against the table.

She felt like she got scammed into a matchmaking date with a photoshopped picture!

"Calm down. Getting mad is bad for your skin. You don't look cute when you are mad and it's not like you're pretty to begin with. I told her to use my phone to get your Instagram account. She helped me in return for a favor." He added two bags of artificial sugar to the mocha and stirred it while he explained what he had done to get her social media.

"So, you were the one who has been commenting and liking my posts?" She almost puked the dinner she had for the previous night when she thought of her stalker being this narcissistic guy in front of her. Nobody understood how difficult it was for her to keep her fists from throwing punches to his face.

"Yep. Did you like my tactic? Smart right? Luring you out with aggressive comments." He chuckled as he sounded proud of his doings.

"You wouldn't do all the stalking for fun. What's your main motive?"

"Smart girl. This is why you match my level. I'll be straightforward and stop wasting our precious time. Be my girlfriend." He said as he tasted the fresh mocha.

"Not even a chance. I also hope you would quit pestering me on my social media. Your comments disgust me, so stop before I report you to the platform." She warned and stood up to leave.

"Give me a reason. There's always a window that opens when a door closes."

"Because I don't like you. If I see you from the peephole of my door, I will hammer wood and build extra brick walls. Forget a window; you won't even get a brick chance." Putting out words as strict as she could think of, she thought it was clear enough to make him give up.

"That's not an acceptable answer in my dictionary. Feelings could be formed over time. You won't know until you try it out. Give me a chance. I promise you'll learn to like me." His overconfidence annoyed the crap out of her. It was too early in the morning to deal with such idiots.

Alan couldn't believe how irritating a person could get. Facing such a response, Ginny crossed her arms. "What the hell do you like about me? Other girls could have the same qualities and even better. Go look for someone else. I am not interested."

"You lent me a pen during the SAT examination. I was very nervous that day and my pen ran out of ink. Nobody cared enough to lend me a pen other than you. You're different from other girls. You might not be interested in dating, but I can change your thought." He said as he looked up with determination flaming in his eyes.

Slamming her palms flat against the table, the liquid in both cups shook. "I won't like you now nor in the future. Look for someone else to be with. I don't have the time to spend my energy talking to you."

"Oh? So, you mean you liked me in the past? Unless you give me a good reason or else I won't give up. If you block or get my social medias account banned, then I'll make a new one. Besides, I have a lot of time to get to know you."

"It'll be great if I find any pans right now. You're lucky I don't have one because if I did, then you wouldn't be having a face at all. I would have slammed the pan into your facial features until everything is flat." She gritted her teeth and raised her voice, shouting out displeasingly.

Still, he refused to back away. Ginny raised both hands and slowly formed tight fists in the air. Before she slams her fist onto the table again, two hands reached her wrists, calming her down. She looked to the side and saw Alan standing with narrowed eyes and faint smile.

"Ginny, don't hurt yourself when dealing with such shameless people. You'll be feeling physical pain, but my heart will ache. Since he doesn't give up, we should tell him about us." His cold glances melted like warming sunshine after a storm whenever he looked at her angered expression.

He brushed the side of her fringe before reaching for her right hand. Feeling his touch, her fists relaxed, and fingers naturally filled the gaps between his fingers. "Or are you too shy to announce our relationship in public?" He leaned close to her ears and whispered, causing her to have a racing heart attack on the spot.

The frown on her face was taken over by flushed cheeks. She lowered her head and pressed her lips together as she tried fixing her fringe. While she avoided his gaze, he took the chance to glare murderously at Anthony with a mocking smile.

Her voice softened as she hadn't expected him to make a move. "Y.. you came over.."

"Of course, as your boyfriend, it's my job to see what flies were swarming around you while I'm not here. Anthony, there are many flies around this corner. There's one right on your shoulder. Do you want me to smack it for you?" When he said these words, he didn't notice how her eyes were smiling with the curve on her lips.
