Chapter 111: The Little Hacker

Luke stopped Andrew from coming inside McDonald's. He already had a plan and ordered Lucas when called him earlier. Andrew might ruin it if he would suddenly show up in front of his daughter.

"Andrew, let's leave them for a while. Brie needs someone she could trust."

"Are you telling me that I'm not that someone?" He frowned.

"No. Your daughter needs someone she could open up with. Right now, it's not you or Nina. Brie is like Alira before she met Caden. You know that, right?" Luke said.

Andrew understood what Luke meant. Alira was aloof and distant but when she met Caden, she changed. Like Alira, Brie grew up without friends and was always surrounded by adults, so maybe a friend like Lucas could help.

He nodded and sighed.

"I prefer Alira to be her friend, but Lucas will do for now." He said before going back inside the car. Luke followed then turned the volume of the speaker so they could hear the conversation of Brie and Lucas.
