Chapter 340: Why her and not me?

"I have to go," John said, gripping over the girl's wrists and lowering them down.

The girl speeded in front of him impeding him to walk away and John scoffed rolling his eyes, he didn't have time to deal with her. He only wanted to go to talk to Victor and then go back to his family.

"Tell me, why her and not me?" She raised her voice, "why? Because she is a banshee? Because she is half-human?"

John shut his eyes, maintaining the calm, "It just happened, I can't control my heart and I fell in love with her. I am sorry if this makes you feel sad or breaks your heart but you have to move on." John said, as nicely as he could and offering a smile.

"You had changed for her. Don't you remember when all you wanted was power? Now people talk behind your back and you don't even care about all the quarrels creatures are having lately. You're in this bubble and you turned into someone I barely know." She spat out, her eyes filled with tears.
