Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Lost Time
"Honey, dinners done!", My mother called form the kitchen. I close my coloring book and close my marker box.
Mom's homemade chicken noodle soup was the best. The chicken was shredded and there was cut carrots.
After dinner we started to play board games.
Then the door came crashing down. I did the only thing that came natural and ran for my room. Then three bangs (from what I thought were staples coming out of a stapler, but later learned were bullets.) followed by three thuds. I hid in my closet behind some boxes. I heard someone talking to someone else saying that the job was done and left.
Not long after they had left sirens came whaling up my street. I came out of my closet to find a very unpleasant site. My family on the ground with red all-around them. I went to my mom." Mommy wake up! This isn't funny!" Going over to my dad with the same result. I was crying before now I was balling. A few seconds later all I could see was blue. I heard muffled voices and screams. I saw all the events that had happened in the room I was in.
I felt someone shaking me. I came to see a woman in her early 30s. She was tall with long blonde hair pulled in to a pony tail . Her eyes were a bright green and her skin was a mix between a dark tan and white.
" What is your name sweetie?" she asked
" I don't have to answer mommy said not to talk to strangers." I sinffled the reply
" How about this I tell you my name and you tell me yours?"
"Fine, but first why is mommy not waking up?"
The woman looked very conflicted as how to answer the question I had asked." Maybe a different time. Also my name is Abigail Crooz. yours?"
"My name is Iris Valery I have a vocabulary the is of a 6th grade level and I am only 6 years old. "
