Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Library
"Ugh..." Says a demon opening her eyes. She looks around her noticing this is not her room... "huh? Wait.... is this the human world?!" She realized while sitting up looking around quickly. "Ugh- welp I guess I'll just go back home, don't know how I ended up here.." She says while standing up. She makes marks on the ground with her foot, creating a spell... it doesn't work, so she does it again... doesn't work... "okay so, what the hell?" She says, she sighs and grabs a few things near by to cover her horns and tail. She walks out of the little alleyway she was in.
There's not much people around which was good for her, but then she stopped... where am I going? I don't know where to go... she thought, she looked around, before someone bumped into her, showing her horns, ears, and tail. The human rubbed her face and looked up, she paused... the demon stared back at her, "u-uhm... demon?.... and cat?" The human said confused.
"ugh, fine! Yes I'm a demon cat from hell, surprise!" The demon says in a sarcastic tone.
The human stayed quite for a few seconds, before responding. "Oh- okay? What's your name?..." the human asks, the demon look back at her, "um- Scarlett?" The demon replies, the human smiles awkwardly, and says, "well I'm Vanessa! Heh..." the human says... they both stay in silence, and Vanessa finally gets up. "Um well uh- good day to you! Heheh..." Vanessa starts to walk off before...
"Wait", Scarlett says.
"Hm?" Vanessa replies.
"You wouldn't mind a demon staying at your house would you? I won't do any demonic shit." Scarlett says.
Vanessa stays silent before saying, "um-... why?"
"I have no where to go-... I've been locked out of hell", Scarlett replies. Vanessa sighs and then nods, Scarlett looks surprised and follows Vanessa.
~time skip~
Soon they both get to Vanessa's house, then Vanessa looks back at Scarlett. Scarlett had dark brown hair, red eyes, cat ears and nose, demon horns and tail, her shirt was showing her stomach, with colors of half red half black! She also had these back boots, and like dark red pants and tan ski- "VANESSA!" Scarlett calls. "Oh uh hi," Vanessa replies. "What's up with you?" Asks Scarlett, "it's just I've never seen a demon! And I didn't know there were a such think as a 'demon cat'!" Vanessa explains.
"Heh- yeah whatever," replies Scarlett. Scarlett walks to the couch and sits down. "Soo... Scarlett... how did you um- get locked out of hell?" Vanessa asks. Scarlett sighs, "hell if I know, I just appeared in the human world and the spell to get back won't work, dumb spell..." Scarlett says.
Vanessa gasps, " you mean you have magic?!" Vanessa asks smiling. "Mhm," Scarlett replies.
"Like demon magic?!" Vanessa asks once again, Scarlett does an annoyed sigh, "yes demon magic..." Scarlett replies. "Oh cool!... what now" Vanessa asks, "I don't know! This isn't my world," Scarlett reminds her. "Don't you wanna go back home?" Vanessa asks. "Yeah I guess..." Scarlett says, "then let's try to find out! To a secret library!" Vanessa says excitedly.
"You can't just say let's go to a secret library, it isn't a secret library if people can easily find it," Scarlett reminds Vanessa. "Who said anything about it being 'easy' to find", Vanessa says then winks, "well got any ideas on where to look?" Scarlett says raising a brow.
"..."
"..."
"Yeah exactly, and a 'secret' library is kind of cringeworthy", said Scarlett. "..... well secret libraries are always hidden in normal libraries!" Vanessa says. "Then it's not a normal lib-" before Scarlett could even finish her sentence, Vanessa grabs Scarlett by the wrist and runs out the door.
~time skip~
"Here we are!" Says Vanessa, "great... so what now?" Scarlett asks, "now... we look around for books way down to the end!" Vanessa says excitedly. This is all a waste of time... thinks Scarlett...
They spent all day looking around, trying to find anything to get Scarlett back home.... but they couldn't find anything useful... just normal books of all sorts, just not anything they needed. "Hey Scarlett... look it's uh-... demon fantasy book thing..." Vanessa says tiredly, "oh-... amazing.... look Vanessa there's nothing here, it's just a normal everyday library..." Scarlett says. "That's what they all say..." said Vanessa trying to sound determined. "Look Vanessa the library is about to close, let's just go back to your house..." Scarlett said.
"..."
"No! It always goes like this, we give up and then something happens! Boom a spell to get a demon back to hell! Or something..." Vanessa says, "look Vanessa, this isn't no fairy tale... I don't think it's just a coincidence that I came here!" Scarlett said. Vanessa stands there in silence... "fine let's go home..." Vanessa said.
They start to walk out of the building, they walk for a few minutes, before Scarlett breaks it. "Why are you so determined to help me go home?" Scarlett asks, Vanessa looks at her, "because I'm nice!" Vanessa replies. "What?" Scarlett says, "because I'm nice?" Vanessa says again, "okay but what's the real reason?" Scarlett asks, "that is the reason! And because I wanted to do something!" Vanessa beamed, "alright got it, you were bored," Scarlett says...
"And because I'm nice! Do you not believe I'm nice?" Said Vanessa, putting her hand on her hips. "I don't know", replied Scarlett... "I get it's because you're a demon and you live in hell with other demons, and most demons aren't nice... but were you with nice people before you umm... died?" Vanessa asks.
"... I was born in hell, so no never... never any nice demons to be around... cuz' they're demons..." Scarlett replies... "do you possibly think you were locked out of hell, because you were too nice for a demon?" Vanessa asks... "pfft ha! I-I'm not nice... I was raised in hell so how can I be nice?!" Scarlett asks... "Well so far... I mean for a demon... you're not so bad..." replies Vanessa, "okay so Satan just... kicked me out of hell?!" Said Scarlett... They both stand there silent... "wouldn't they just send me too heaven?!" Asks Scarlett, "well you're too nice for hell, and too mean for heaven... so they just sent you to earth heh..." Vanessa replies.... "but... maybe you can cheat your way into hell! And be home!" Vanessa says trying to lighten the mood. "Umm... no, you can't 'cheat' your way into hell" Says Scarlett. "Probably cuz' no one has ever tried! We got to find a way to get you home!" Vanessa said determined.
"Yeah okay fine we'll try..." Said Scarlett. "Yes! And we're back home! Hehe, I'm tired!" Says Vanessa, she then unlocks the door, she walk in turns around smiles and then says, "okay! There a room on the left! Goodnight!" She then runs upstairs. Scarlett shakes her head, and goes upstairs to go to bed.
