“I hadn’t seen Carlos for almost two months. It was good to have time off just when he returned,” Sara told Pauly.

“Where were you?” Pauly asked.

“I was in another city.” Carlos’ eyes clouded. A frown appeared.

“Tell Se?or Paul what you were doing,” Sara urged. “He can’t harm you. He is an American. He does not like Ortega either

Pauly looked from Sara to Carlos. What a perceptive person Sara was. He knew he had never discussed politics with her. She must have read his body language.

“I was helping to organize the people,” Carlos whispered. “We must let Ortega know that the people are not happy with the things he is doing.”

“Ah,” was all Pauly said.
