Míng jié looked sheepish as he replied "I apologize old man, it wasn't my intention to disturb your meditation."
Although he was the direct disciple of the old man, he was more like a grandson to him.
The old man opened one of his eyes and replied with a low and hoarse voice, "What wrong?"
Míng jié was worried if what he had to say was going to upset the old man. He was quite famous for his bad temper.
"A inner court disciple informed me that were spiritual fluctuations down below".
Although he knew that his master would not be too interested in worldly affairs, he still decided to tell him.
"Hmmm? Inner court disciple? Who?" The old man is now semi-intrigued
"Yes master!?"

"Tell me, what exactly did this disciple sense that made you, my personal disciple, come here so early in the morning?".

Now the old man is intrigued. But Míng can't tell how deep his masters thoughts are just from looking at his face, so he must wait until his master speaks.
