Chapter 43: Impressive Boyfriend

Scarlet held on to Zain's arm tightly and looked at Leila with triumph, but Leila was completely uninterested. Scarlet thought Leila was pretending not to notice anything because she was embarrassed. 

However, the truth was a little more embarrassing. 

Leila was distracted because of the smell of delicious meat. It had been a while since she had a decent steak or good meaty food. For her kind, it was a crime to be deprived of a carnivorous diet for so long. Plus, after her fight with Xavier, she was famished. 

"That is so sweet. You two are so good together. I wonder when I will also have an opportunity to show off love." Amelia said with fake wistfulness because she did not think the couple in front of her was truly in love. 

"Your time will come. You are practically the belle of Lake City. Someone will snatch you up before you know it," Scarlet replied with triumphant pride in her eyes.
