Chapter 89: A Naughty Wolf

Leila ate the soup with relish while waiting for Xavier to return downstairs. The soup was tasty and had some nourishing herbs which made her feel much stronger. However, she was still thinking about getting a more solid meal. 

While she was sick, she was not allowed to eat anything solid. Her stomach felt empty in an unpleasant way. She wanted meat. As a werewolf, meat was essential to survival and happiness. 

When Xavier returned, he had already changed his clothes. He was in a completely black outfit, including a leather jacket. He was also carrying another one in his hands, but it was much smaller than his own. 

Leila looked at him with shy eyes when she saw how attractive he looked. She understood why everyone talked about vampires being so beautiful to lure their prey. She felt like she would fall into the trap if she were human.
