"If that's the only way you'd feel better, Scott, give her the knife! Just fucking stab me to death!"

Scott didn't dare to actually pass her the knife.

Baron Lawrence grabbed a fruit knife from the bedside table and shoved it into the pale-faced woman's hand, forcing her to stab at his chest.

Enna desperately pulled her hand back, and as the knife tip almost touched his chest, she couldn't suppress her pain any longer and broke into tears.

Baron loosened his grip, and the fruit knife fell to the ground. He held her wrist and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly against him.

"Enna, I'm here for you.

Even if everyone else abandons you, I want you! I do!"

Enna clenched his collar, her hands turning slightly white from the force.

Baron clumsily stroked her back, comforting her over and over again until the woman in his arms cried herself out of strength, closing her eyes, unsure if she had truly fallen asleep.
