Chapter 7: '0.7' Terror mail

It was the dead of night seremonie, which I loved to celebrate because there were so much food. This year Viggo invited some guests since it only happens every five years. We were on the wooden ship with me hanging over the edge dangerously when a horn was blown.

Excited, I made my way towards Viggo and Ryker, jumping up and down on the deck.

Ryker was in sight and he was much less muscular than now. " Hey, Ryker!" I shout making my way towards him. " What is it?" He asked rolling his eyes.

" Aren't you excited?" I screeched jumping up and down. " Not as much as you." He replied. " Why not?" I asked putting my small hands on my hips. " Because were here for business." He said towering over me.

I hummed. " Where's Viggo?" I asked knowing he'll understand my excitement." I don't know." He retorted while walking off. I huff and cross my arms. Rude..

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Viggo walking on deck with his hands clasped behind his back. I skipped up to him. Since I was the youngest, I had A LOT of energy balled up in me.

" Viggo." I sang skipping towards him. He turned around with his eyebrows cocked and a very, very small smile on his lips. " Are you excited ?" I jumped.

" Very." He said calmly and patted my messy hair. Funny how Viggo always stays in character ...I thought to myself. I glance at the oncoming island which, was scary. It had pointy rocks and high cliffs with no vegetation whats so ever.

I took a deep breath trying to calm my excitement. I don't know why I was excited at the time, I guess I just happy to see other faces. Soon the ship docked and hunters were streaming from the ship.

On the beach was three intimating figures, their looks warning anyone of their presence. Trader Johan, Krogan and Dagur.

From a very young age I learned not to mess or even look at them. Rumors say when they do not get the respect they want, they'll feed everyone to the dragons themselves ...

Now, I know it was just rumors. I jumped off the plank not waiting for the others and headed straight for the food, but was stopped short when my name was called. I sighed to myself in annoyance.

It was a custom to always greet your guests. Always. I walked back to the ship with a grumpy mood. The rest of the hunters still stood at the beach and watched me with great interest.

I took my place next to Viggo as he stood next to Ryker. " We are glad you could make it ..." Viggo began, but I paid little to no attention to his welcoming speech. I instead,I focused on the delicious aroma that came from the Hunters Hall.

I smelled pork, chicken, salmon, yack and various vegetables. I nearly leaned into the mouthwatering smell.

After what seemed to be forever, he finished and we went to do a handshake. Correction, they went ot do a handshake, I got a pat on the head from our guests. I sighed as I finished fixing my hair. " Stupid head petting .."I mumble to myself.

We finally went to the hall where the food stood on piles on the tables. My mouth almost watered as I stared at it. My stare was short interrupted when I heard a pained roar.

I recognized it a Nadder's and from the sound of it, it wasn't good either. Without hesitation I walk towards the sound into the forest.

I was right, it was a Nadder. Guards were stabbing it with spears. " Wait!" I yelled uncontrollably. They immediately stopped and dropped their spears while I stepped out from the bushes.

I went over to the cage to examine it's wounds. The Nadder, of course threatened me with it's spines. Before it could shoot a hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me from it. I look up to find Ryker with a scowl.

I innerly sighed. " What are you doing? " He asked letting me go. " Well, their hurting the dragon." I answered pointing to the hunters. " Their supposed to do that." He growled . I looked to the ground in part shame.

He walked away after giving orders to the hunters. I felt a hand on my shoulder which scared me a little. I look up to see Viggo. " They don't hurt dragons...do they?" I whispered.

" Of course not." He smirked to my relief. " We were just training it. A Deadly Nadder and other dragons learn with force, so we try our best. And the nets we use, we rescue them." He lied.

I smiled and dragged him back to the seremonie, where I ate as much as my small stomach could let me. " Wow, for a little critter, she can eat!" Daguar acknowledged as I almost pass out from too much eating.

I sat up on the bed as the memory flashes through my mind. I heard squawking and the wing beats of a dragon. I look at the window and see Drummer, a small blue Terrible Terror that we trained. He landed on my arm as I stretched it out.

I heard a growl come from behind me, but I ignored it. The parchment was half wet so I guess it rained back home. I teared it off and opened it carefully.

I have recently discovered that, Krogan is not the leader of his tribe. But, he is employed from a mysterious buyer from the North. Nothing alarming though, but I do wish you be careful with Hiccup and his friends. They may not be as smart as me, but do not underestimate them either. Safe travels.

Signed,

Viggo Grimborn.
