"I am surprised that you have lasted so long in this world, jacob voss."
Jacob's eyes widened in shock as he heard that voice. A voice he thought he would never hear again, a voice that belongs to the person who caused all the misfortune to him.
Calmly Jacob turned and looked in the direction of the voice, only to find a black haired child with black eyes staring at him while smiling.
"Huh?" jacob was surprised to see that that god, the one responsible for creating this world, the one responsible for throwing him into the abyss, was nothing more than a mere "child".
"I know, my body is very childish, but I like this body, so I can do whatever I want, after all, I am a child, right? Hehehe."
Upon hearing those words, veins began to pop out of Jacob's forehead and he asked angrily:
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"Huh? What am I doing here? I came all the way to this end of the world to tell you the answers and Revelations you wanted."
"You came all the way here to play with me?!" Jacob spoke those words and stepped deep into the ground, he was prepared at any moment to advance on that god.
"Hey, hey, relax there big boy! Are you really thinking of fighting me? You know I can destroy this whole world with a snap of my fingers, right?"
"Then destroy it!" Jacob bellowed those words as he advanced on the god, because all he wanted was to be able to punch at least once the face of the person who brought him to this world.
God watched Jacob coming towards him and smiled, right then he said some words that would make Jacob freeze:
"If you keep this up, I will be forced to have to kill grace."
Upon hearing the name "Grace" coming out of his mouth, jacob suddenly froze. It never crossed his mind that grace might die, but now taking that risk, jacob decided not to bet anything.
Seeing that jacob stopped his attack, god smiled and began to speak:
"Actually, I came over here to tell you about some modifications you made to the story, after all you altered the plot quite a bit after erick died.... Anyway, from this moment on, I'm going to tell you your irrelevant role in the story and I'm also going to tell you the important role grace is going to play in the story."
"You bastard! I don't want any of that! Least of all her!"
"I know you guys don't want to, but I can't do anything about it, who caused this you. Anyway, where was I anyway? Ah yes, your role is simple, you in the future are the most dangerous man in the world. Your danger level is compared to that of the demon king."
"What?
"Hey, leave the questions for the end! The role grace will play in the future will be that of raphael's faithful and Beloved wife, in the future they will get married and have two children, a puppy and..." before god could finish his sentence, jacob interrupted him saying:
"NO!"
"No? I'm sorry if you don't like the future, but I can't change it. Actually I can, but it's not fun if I interfere."
"She's not marrying Raphael! Or have kids or anything!"
"Hm, but it has already been decided, she will enter his harem when you are defeated by raphael at the end of the Olympic tournament. Soon after that you will be abandoned and you will Embrace the darkness, after all, she will be the only one who will never abandon you, because your light is already gone..."
"No! I will make my own destiny and I swear I will stop anything that happens to me and her!"
"Sigh... She will make that decision herself and I won't interfere with the fate of you two, because if I do, it will lose the fun. It's just like playing some hacked game only against bots, it's no fun if I interfere with everything."
"So if that's the case, I won't meet with Raphael."
"You can't stop fate, you can delay it, but there's no stopping it. At some point or another you will meet raphael and you will be defeated by him, so I suggest you go to the dwarven realm, because at this point, your feelings for her are not that intense yet."
Upon hearing those words about destiny, Jacob was frustrated with those injustices imposed on him. In his mind, jacob really thought that he would have the "happy ending", but seeing that everything was starting to go wrong, he started to doubt if this was just a mere illusion all this time.
"Hm... You think it's all my fault, don't you? But I'm sorry to disappoint you, it is your fault. Erick being dead, the king will order raphael to kill you. The two of you will fight and Raphael will come out victorious, but when he was about to strike the final blow to kill you, Grace stops him. She begged on her knees that she would do anything to keep him alive."
Jacob began to widen his eyes in surprise and shock, it was as if all the pieces began to fall into place.
God noticing Jacob's silence, began walking up to him as he spoke:
"Raphael decides to have her join his harem, he would spare you and so she accepted..."
"Why? Why would she do that?" Jacob asked in a calm tone, he was already too empty to sketch any feelings.
"Because she thinks it's her fault, after all, she's the one who killed Erick, not you. So she will end up falling in love with Raphael as the months go by that she travels by his side and he will fall in love with her too. That is the butterfly effect you caused by not listening to your mother, which was actually me fantasizing.... I gave only a brief summary of the future, but anyway, do you understand? It's your fault, not mine."
Jacob was empty and defeated upon hearing those words, he felt as if all his energy had been sucked out. At this moment he just wanted to close his eyes and never open them again.
"At first I wanted you to die because I was angry, but over time I lost my hatred for you. Believe it or not, I have no reason to cause this to you." God spoke those words to justify himself and give Jacob his Revelations.
"How am I going to die?" Jacob asked in an attempt to change the subject, because he had already gotten enough answers and Revelations.
"You know how you are going to die, I know you do. The question is when.... But let's cut through that sad atmosphere, I'm going to give you a prize as a reward for surviving." God was talking excitedly, while thinking that Jacob would get excited, but the reaction was totally the opposite. Jacob no longer cared about rewards or anything else, he just wanted to have some time to himself.
Noticing jacob's silence and reaction, god sighed dejectedly and began to speak:
"Your new prize is going to be a skill, a skill that does not require mana to use. The name of this skill is 'weapon master'. This skill allows you to summon any medieval weapon and use it at will. You can manipulate the size of the weapon and also the shape. If you want a sword the size of a building, you will be able to create one freely, but be aware that the larger the size, the lower the speed."
God was giving a brief explanation of how jacob's new skill worked, but he seemed to be a walking corpse, his gaze was blank and lackluster at all. God just sighed when he saw Jacob in that state, he really wanted to help his emotional state, but it would go against his principles, so he decided not to interfere.
Noticing that Jacob was not going to say anything more, God prepared to leave at any moment, only to his surprise, Jacob asked:
"Why did you tell me the future? You didn't have to do that, so why did you?"
"Why did I tell you? I don't know, I just felt like it.... But if you think it's impossible to have a happy ending, know that life is a blackboard that fate uses to write on, but if you can erase the writing, you can have your happy ending."
"So, all I need to do is defeat Raphael, so the blackboard will be erased, right?"
"Yes, but it's practically impossible for you to defeat him."
"I will."
"Hm, but in case you don't make it, what are you going to do?"
"If I am defeated? I'll accept the darkness and walk alongside it, because that's all I'll have left."
"Okay, but know that even if you lose, grace will still love you, but it will all depend on your choices in the end..." God spoke those words in a sad tone as he began to turn into leaves blown away by the wind. God disappeared completely while Jacob watched him thoughtfully. Time returned to normal and jacob heard Grace say:
"You and I are going to retire and live the rest of our lives in a house by the pond, to the tune of It's Been a Long, Long Time..."

Author's note:
Are you confused? Leave your question in the comments.
I am trying to make the events realistic. Realistic in the sense that Jacob is a normal person and not a protagonist, so everything can go wrong.
My goal is to give Jacob a happy ending, so stay calm about the future.
I hope that this sentence explains or at least gives some meaning to the events of the chapter:
"It is in the moments of decision that your destiny is set."
Jacob's decision in wanting to continue with the torture, triggered his and Grace's fate. Anyway, butterfly effect.
