Chapter 16: Chapter 10
For long time it was just me and Bri, there were no others. It was just us so we looked out for each other the best we could. We laughed, cried, and even loved together. So when I met Ashley I was unsure how Bri would react. Like always though Bri was open minded and then it was the three of us. I'll never forget the day I introduced Ashley to Bri. I thought Bri was mad at first cause she kept pacing back and forth. I later realized she had been pace thinking as she called it. Though heres how it went.
"Bri, I'm back. Do you have a minute?" I asked.
"For you I always have time." she replied.
"I brought home someone I'd like you to met." I said.
"Oh, is it your girlfriend?" she asked.
"What no! I mean it's a girl yes, but not my girlfriend." I said.
"I know it's not your girlfriend Rudy. I was just pulling your leg." she said.
I texted Ashley to come up. She was already at the door when I texted. So I let her in. I was surprised when I heard Ashley laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" I asked.
"Something Bri said." Ashley replied.
"Bri didn't say anything, she can't talk without her phone. " I said.
"She used sign language Rudy." Ashley said.
"Wait you know sign language?!" I asked excitedly.
"Yes, I do." Ashley said.
"That's amazing, I wish I could learn it but unfortunately I can't see." I said.
"I'm sorry Rudy, I didn't mean for you to feel left out." Ashley and Bri said.
Ashley left a couple hours later. And Bri sat down on the couch.
"So?" I asked.
"So what?" she replied.
"What'd you think of Ashley?" I asked.
"She was fine." she replied.
"That's it? That's all she got?" I asked.
"I don't know what you want me to say Rudy." she replied.
"Say you like having her around. That it was nice hanging out with someone other than me." I said.
"It was nice hanging out with each other." she said.
"Good because I know of an apartment building we can stay in. It's a two bed room but if it was just the two of us we couldn't rent it. However if you don't mind living and sharing a bedroom with Ashley, we can split the rent three ways." I said.
"Ok that's fine." she said.
Six months later we moved into the apartment, the three of us. We lived together for years until I met Evan. I move out to live with Evan, my boyfriend. Shortly after Ashley moved out to live on her own and be closer to her work. Bri got another much smaller apartment and helps single parents with there children. So that how things are now but I wonder if they'll stay that way.
