Just some clarifications
Elder Mo and Pavilion Master Mo's surname are of different characters in Chinese, so they aren't related at all. It's a plain coincidence that they are pronounced the same way. I know it's confusing, so do take note of their titles (Elder/Pavilion Master). I'll try my best to avoid ambiguous usage.
Also, Ten Great Elders = Ten Great Master Teachers, but the former term is more directed within the academy and the latter beyond the academy
