Hera turned around in an instant, grabbing Lans’ collar, and she slammed his back onto the cold hard wall.
Lans looked at her directly in his eyes before bringing his head low. It was his responsibility to take care of them but he had done a terrible job.
He couldn’t bring himself to say it to Hera’s face.
“Answer me, Lans.” Hera growled at him.
“Heath took them away. He had taken away Siera as a ransom and a bet saying that if we found Roshan’s father here, he would release her.” Lans replied her.
“And you let him?” Hera’s hold on Lan’s collar tightened, and cracks started to surface on the wall.
She felt a touch on her arm, and looked up. It was Read. His face held a stoic expression.
“Give him a break. We had no choice.” Read said with a low voice.
Hera sighed and released Lans.
“Where is Roshan?” She asked, her eyes moving towards Lans.
“The coward was taken after we lost consciousness due to a gas.” A soldier muttered but Hera heard the words.
