Wow! 🤩 this really is such a fantastic book, a hidden gem for sure. I was utterly captivated with the story from the first chapter. This book is beautifully written on all accounts and the author deserves very high praise for this magnificent work. The plot is very well thought out from start to finish. With the twists and turns it leads your emotions into a frantic array never knowing what might come next. You get a true sense for the historical time period in which this book is set and I particularly enjoyed that aspect as it remains consistent throughout and it must have taken a lot of knowledge on the topic for it to be written in this way. The main characters are well fleshed out to give you a proper sense of who they are and there is a nice diversity of personalities among them. The attention given to every little detail is truly a delight to read and the scenes which your mind creates while reading this book are absolutely spectacular. I felt like I had a movie playing within my head and once I began reading it was incredibly hard to tear myself away from it. I would highly recommend giving this book a try, it’s very well worth it in my opinion. 👍🏻
Don't know how this won any awards, given how the basic premise was wrong. The Two words 'King's' and 'pirates' should never be placed together. The correct term is 'privateer', a legal pirate. Pirates are the enemies of the State, whereas privateers are the tools they utilize (shamelessly)
