Chapter 10: Brie

By the time Linri had gathered his thoughts it was already 5 o'clock. After coming back home he had a nice family dinner with his parents. There was almost no talk on his part and once he was done he immediately excused himself and went to his bedroom.

He was thinking about Jaime. If he was here there was a good chance that Spark also transmigrated into this world. After all, Jaime was among the 9 people he saw in there and he had to know if he was the only person here or not. So he had to meet with her. What he remembered about Jaime was that before enrolling at Autumnfall she was a private detective in London. That would mean they were currently in the same city. The only problem was there was no mention of where she was staying in her bio. Even if there was Linri did not remember it. I mean he was no god! How the hell was he supposed to remember every single detail about a character that did not belong to him?

Just like what he had done with Silfy Linri decided to search her in goodle 'Private Detective Jaime Voss' and obviously there were no results. It would be weird if there was since she was an underage detective. So haw he supposed to find her? I mean wasn't that what was bothering so why did he have to ask himself this twice? Of course, because it was important! And mostly because he did not have any idea where to go from here so he figured he might as well ask himself the same question.

To keep realistic relationships with the other player characters Max did not really read other characters' bio in depth. So what he knew mostly came from what others told him in RP. Now that he knew he could not find her online, he needed other clues to find her. It was time for some soul searching to see what else did he know about her? I mean even if it was in-game they dated for a while so he should at least remember something right?

He knew that she could be considered a prodigy with high intelligence. I mean who wasn't? She was also an orphan. Yikes! That cut off searching for her family. What else? She had a very close relationship with Spark's other character Brie and they considered themselves sisters. Wait that was it! Since he can not find Jaime why not try to find Brie. Brie was also an orphan and she was staying at a church-related orphanage. At least that was what he remembered. So he searched goodle again for church-related orphanages in London.

He got results and locations. There were about 17 orphanages total in London and 4 of them were church-related and girls only. Well, that narrowed down the possibilities. Thank god for the internet, hurrah!! Linri did not know if she was staying in an all-girls orphanage but hey it was not like he was going to search every single orphanage from the start now. So why not just start slow and eliminate those 4 before starting to search others.

After deciding to go through with this plan, Linri did not waste any time and went to his mother to ask allowance for going out to meet some friends and hang out. She reprimanded Linri about the dangers of going out at night but after some insistence, she caved in and let Linri go out. Well, at least her personality was close to his own mother and she could resist the charm of his puppy eyes. It was a good thing to know that some things never change even if his whole world did.

After going through 2 of the orphanages Linri came out empty. He was even reprimanded by the people in there for coming so late of a time. Linri found that weird considering it was only 18.30 but that was his college student mentality where he was allowed to go out till midnight. Right now he was only a 14-year-old teenage boy and if their parents were relaxed they would only be allowed outside till 19.00 at most. Good thing he was going to Autumnfall where he was not going to be supervised... at least for a while. I mean that place is constantly getting attacked so who would care if you were out past 7 pm, right?

Once Linri arrived at the Queen Alexandria Orphanage he did not have any hope either and as per usual he went to the receptionist and asked for Brie.

"Young man, you know that visiting hours are already over right? I can not let you meet with her" replied Old Nun.

Well, another dud I suppose... Wait! Did she just say 'not allow him to meet with her?' Doesn't that mean she was actually here? Thank all of the gods above! He did not expect anything from his search and the only reason he did so was to relieve his conscience. I mean London was a big city and he really did not expect to find 2 little girls from vague descriptions. Hold on, Linri! Don't get your hopes up yet! She might just be another person with the same name. First, you have to get the hurdle known as the Old Nun! Oh yeah, I wonder what her name is?

"Miss I know that I am making an unreasonable request but I really need to see her. It doesn't even have to be 10 minutes just 5 minutes is enough. I can even talk with her under your supervision. Please, it really vital." Linri begged her with a sincere expression.

Seeing his expression Linri could tell that woman was softening up. After all, they devoted their lives to God and helping others was what they were supposed to be doing. Also, he was a cute little boy asking for help. Who could say no to his charm?

"Fine. If it's really important I can grant you 5 minutes but that's it. Not a second more and you will be under my watch. Come follow me. We need to get Brie out of the detention room first."

Once he heard that Linri was elated. Now the only thing left was convincing Brie and that shouldn't be too hard. He knew a piece of vital information she needed. If he told her that she might spill the beans immediately. Haha! This was going to be as easy as taking candy from a baby.

Linri followed Old Nun into a room. He could see that it was a dark room lit with candles and there was a giant Jesus cross standing in the middle. Brie was sitting on her knees in front of it and she was praying. The second she turned her head you could see her white hair and purple eyes. She could be considered a little doll if not for the tear marks in her. Actually from some perspective that made her seem even cuter. With this look she made the other people want to protect her immediately. When she turned around however she did not pay any attention to Linri and immediately clung to the Old Nun's legs begging her.

"Please, Sister Sharon. I am not gonna cause trouble again. Please let me out." cried Brie.

Seeing how she acted even Linri was moved but more than that he was amused. With this acting, she could even dupe Linri if he didn't know her true self. Brie was a natural born trouble maker. At the same time, she was stubborn and headstrong. If she decided to do something no one could stop her. Unless that person was her big sister, in other words, Jaime. The person he was searching around for. Oh yeah, it also turned out the Old Nun's name was Sharon.

When Linri looked at the Old Nun Sharon he could see that she was also moved like him. I mean look at that cute little puffy face. That was when Linri started to think that Sister Sharon might actually be a gullible person. I mean you know who she is but still can't get mad at her? Bruh, at that point it's your fault that she is a trouble maker. If you wanted to discipline her you definitely had to be stricter than this.

"Don't worry I came to get you out. You have a visitor but you only have 5 minutes, not a second more. After that, you are going to go straight to bed."

Hearing that Brie finally paid attention to the boy next to Sister Sharon. He had white hair just like her but his eyes were azure blue. He could be considered handsome but you could still see childishness in his face. She was confused. She didn't remember ever meeting someone like that and immediately thought she might have done something to him and he came to ask for compensation.

"Big brother, I didn't do that intentionally can't you let me go pleaseeeeee?" Brie used the same trick she used on Sister Sharon and looked at Linri with puppy eyes.

Seeing that Linri couldn't help but snicker. Little chick, when you were just starting to speak I had already conned so many people. You think you can trick me with such a simple trick? No way!

"Don't worry little miss. I didn't come here to look for trouble. I am trying to find someone and I don't know how to find her so you are my only lead."

"And who is that? If its something that I can help, of course, I will." her tone was friendly but Linri could see the wariness in her eyes. So if he wanted her help he had to show his sincerity.
