My mother gave me the name Alexander Fleming, but I prefer Alex, and this story is about my life, or more accurately, lives.
Alex was a bright 17-year-old boy who thrived on learning new things.
He was constantly reading, watching documentaries, and asking questions. His intelligence and enthusiasm for learning set him apart from the crowd. Alex started feeling ill one day, so his parents took him to the doctor. Having followed some tests, he learned that he had a rare and aggressive form of lung cancer. Everyone was shocked by the news, especially Alex, who had always appeared to be in good health and full of life.
Despite the grim diagnosis, Alex tried to remain positive and continued to do what he loved most - learning. He spent his days in the hospital reading books and watching documentaries. But even with his good attitude, the disease was worsening, and Alex slowly but surely withered away in his hospital bed.
'Where am I? Everything is black, and I am feeling nothing and everything all at once. But I was just in my hospital bed; I must have died. I still wanted to do so much in my life: have a great job, a wonderful girlfriend or wife, and a happy family. Well, that wish is going down the drain.' thought Alex.
Suddenly, a dazzling white light replaced the total darkness. My vision has returned to normal, and I see an elderly man sitting in front of a massive oak tree. He has a slight smile on his face, but if you look closely, you can see a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"Sir, Do you know where we are, and if so, could you please tell me?" said Alex.
"Well, aren't you a polite man, Alex?" chuckled the elderly man.
"Given that you already know my name, would you kindly tell me yours as well?" added Alex.
The creator explained, "Well, your kind always called me the creator, a deity, a celestial being, but I always preferred god."
When Alex started to process this information, his brain temporarily stopped functioning, and he wondered why God would want to speak with him if he had sent him here. After his initial shock, Alex recovered relatively quickly.
"Why did you bring me here, my lord?" asked Alex.
"Please don't bother with this Lord business," God said to him. "I don't like it; please refer to me simply as God.I brought you here because I was technically responsible for your demise. On the subway, the person sitting next to you was going to be the target of the your illness. Unfortunately, I misjudged and unintentionally struck you with it."
"Since I made a grave mistake, I will give you three options on how to proceed with your afterlife."
1. Based on your judgment, you either go to heaven or hell; little spoiler, you were going to heaven.
2. You continue to stay in the void.
3. You reincarnate into a different world that can't be your world because it would interrupt the world's balance.
After his initial shock, Alex pondered his decision. The second one is obviously out of the question; the first is acceptable, but I haven't even reached adulthood and I still want so many things. So it's option number three.
"I want to reincarnate, but how does this work?" "Do you say in which world I'll be able to reincarnate, or do I have a say in this?" asked Alex.
God pondered for a bit and said, "Let´s make a deal." "I decide where you go, and you get two wishes, but nothing that would make you abruptly overpowered."
"Alright, lets go with that. To what world are you going to send me?" inquired Alex.
"I am going to send you to the world of The Vampire Diaries/The Originals/Legacies," God answered.
"I know a bit about that. What year are you planning to send me?And am I going to be born again or sent there in my current body?"
"You'll be sent to 2026, and I'll give you a new body, but you get to choose how it looks."
God said.
After giving the situation some thought, Alex decided it was acceptable.
not that he had any control over it.
Alex continued, "I want a body like a teenage Matt Bomer, but with striking ice blue eyes."
"For my wishes, I would like to be an undiscovered, naturally born tribrid and second, I would like to have a system like in fanfictions so that it would be easier to go stronger." concluded Alex.
God laughed wholeheartedly. "Good choice. I am going to send you away now. Have fun and good luck." "You are going to need it." muttered God
"What was that?" Alex wondered before the all-encompassing white light shone once more.
After the light faded, Alex found himself in an alleyway in a town he didn't know the name of.
"Where am I?" Alex wondered.
