Chapter 6: part 6

She left his car without saying anything after telling him her name and started to walk towards the darkest, deepest, and most silent alley. Paul was staring at her just as she looked back at him. She stared back at him with her green eyes wide open and smiled at him. She again started to walk and, within a few seconds, she disappeared.

Paul should have known that there was something wrong with her, but he was astounded by her beauty. Paul moved his car slightly and started to drive towards the city. It was 15 km away from this place. The beautiful pine forests were encasing the sounds from within, and the clouds' smoke was absorbing them. Paul was alone on the road. He could not see anyone near him. It was dark but pretty. As he was driving, something crossed the road swiftly. He pulled on his car's brakes and stopped. "Jesus, what was that?" Paul said to himself. Just at the same moment, Paul heard some strange cries from the forest. He came out of his car and started to follow those unfamiliar, faint sounds. It was dark, so he took out his lighter from his pocket and lit it. The sounds are becoming clearer. He walked and approached them. There was a man sitting there. His upper body was naked, and his lower body was covered in an orange fabric. He was singing and offering a cup of fresh blood to a statue of a female body that was crowned and dressed up with human heads.

"Excuse me?" he said to the other man.

The man looked at him with his red eyes in anger and began to sing again.

Paul interrupted again. "Do you need any help?"

The man again looked at him with anger, drank the blood himself, got up and started walking into the woods. It scared Paul. He looked around and it was dark and misty. He started to walk back towards his car. He was walking as fast as he could. Paul knew someone was following him, but he decided not to look back. His heart was almost scattered throughout his body when he reached his car. He sat inside, and started to drive.

He was driving a little faster. After some minutes, he noticed that he had reached the city. The moon was stuck in the sky, but he could now see people rather than tall pines. Paul noticed a man approaching him with a big smile, and the man knocked on his car window. Paul opened the window.

"Welcome sir, please get some rest at our resort." As soon as the window opened, the man asked me. These words were a relief. Paul immediately parked his car, came out of it and accepted the offer.

"Please follow me, Sire," the man said as he took his luggage.

Paul started to follow. The man took him into a pleasant building. There was a reception table at the entrance and another man was standing there. He welcomed Paul.

"Please give me the keys to the best room we have.... He is our special guest," the first man inquired of the receptionist. He took the keys and asked Paul again. "Please follow."

Paul was pleased with this hospitality, but he was too tired. The room was on the second floor.
