Chapter 2: TWO

Screaming in pain...

It was evident from the cry of the young voice that what was happening to her was nothing but torture. The man enjoyed the pleas of the little girl, again and again. He was curving small circles, round and round, on the little girl's back. He enjoyed the metallic smell of blood. He was smiling whilst humming a very disturbing song.

"Little girls who disobey are punished with peeling skin. Carve round and round, little circles as a reminder." He loved the fact he was leaving his mark.

Anyone who will see the girl's back will know he owned her. No one is allowed to touch her but him.

He owned her. She was his property.

His eyes were gleaming with darkness and evil intent. He wanted Victoria to feel the pain, and he wanted her to know the consequences of disobedience.

Victoria was dying in pain. Her back ached so badly that she started seeing things that weren't there. Her head was feeling dizzy. This pain she has never felt before. She could feel her back drenched in blood and had no idea how many times he carved those circles on her little back.

She refused to suck his dildo when he asked her to. He was disgusting and a pervert.

How can he ask her to do such a thing? His thing looked nasty, and he wanted her to put it in her mouth. Dream on, he was ridiculous. She'd rather die than follow his requests.

"Victoria?" she didn't hear Janice calling her. She was in a trance, in her past.

"You see, little firecracker! These are the consequences of not listening to instructions. Now I have to carve you and peel off this delicate skin," he said darkly.

"Victoria?" Janice called her again.

"Carving your skin gives me joy. I think I will do it. Just for fun of it," he said.

He started humming that stupid song again.

"Little firecracker scream for me. I like it when you plead. Beg me to stop." He laughed a peal of dark, horrifying laughter.

HA HA HA HA HA...

Tears were streaming down Victoria's face. Janice saw her friend was far gone in the past. Whatever happened to her must have been horrific.

She wondered if those circle scars on her back had anything to do with it.

"Maybe I should just cut your stomach open. It looks very inviting. Do you think your little organs would be able to handle the trauma, little firecracker?"

Victoria was shivering with fear. She did not understand his purpose. Why was he causing her so much pain, and why was he feeding on it?

He seemed happy that she was suffering. He kept on asking her to do impossible things. When she didn't succeed or refuse him, he would be overjoyed.

"Little firecracker, how have you made my day." He would say while he smiled with a dark smile on his face.

"Look at you disobeying me. Tell me, sweet child. Ain't you tired of the pain? I know, for one, I love seeing you in pain. The facial expressions you make are "just" to die for." He laughed.

"Did you know? It looks so satisfying when you have that fear in those beautiful big baby blue eyes. It gives me pleasure to know I make you feel that way. The thrill it gives me. 'Ah,' He moaned. "I just... feel like jumping up, like an infant."

He is crazy. He is fudging evil.

Victoria thought, 'This man is making her grow up so soon.'

"VICTORIA" Janice yelled to get her attention and brought her out of the riverie.

Victoria jumped up in shock. She looked around frantically. It took her some time to come back to her senses. All of her friends were shocked by her behaviour.

What was she thinking about that made her zoned out to the point, she looked like she was unconscious?

"Are you okay?" asked Lisa.

"I'm fine. It's nothing," said Victoria. Though her voice was powerful and detached, her body was still shivering in shock.

"You scared us," said Janice.

"I'm sorry, that was not my intention. I just got lost in my memories, that's all. Don't worry about it." She faked a smile.

Monica was looking at her sceptically. Even though she didn't like this bitch, she didn't like the haunted look she saw in her eyes. The girl looked like she remembered something rather horrific.

"Can you all please give me some space? I need to take a bath," Victoria said quietly.

The girls looked at each other, then back at her. This... was so Victoria. She never wanted to share what bothered her. She bottled up everything.

Janice didn't like it, but she was scared of opening up old wounds. So, they did as she asked. They left her without saying a thing.

Lisa was "the" quiet one. However, she was not stingy of her feelings this time. So, she voiced her worries.

"I seriously think we've ignored everything she said. Her intuition about bad things is always on point. Back then. She warned your brother not to go to that party. She told him it was a bad idea," she reminded them.

"Do you remember what happened?" she looked at all of her friends.

"He got stabbed, and his best friend died," said Monica.

"So, we ignored her this time again. What if she is right?" Lisa asked with a serious look on her face.

"I think you are overthinking here. Victoria's reaction has nothing to do with this house," said Gwen.

"I hope you are right," said Janice.

"I would hate if something happened to you guys, and we will all be at fault. Especially me." She voiced out her worries.

"I would be guilty for all eternity if something happened to you guys. After all, this house was my choice."

"Stop it, guys. We are stressing over nothing. I get that she has good instincts. But it doesn't mean, everywhere we go, bad things will happen," said Alice.

"Nataly and Manny, what do you think?" asked Janice.

"I'm cool with whatever decision you guys make, as long as we have fun together," said Manny shrugging her shoulders. She didn't seem to care about Victoria at all.

"She is right. We all are going to die here. This fucking place, is haunted. Can't you all feel it?" said Nataly with a cold and harsh voice.

If Lisa was quiet, Nataly was mute.

Whenever she does talk, it's to say something like right now, she never smiles. She and Victoria make a good couple. They all looked at her with wide eyes and shock.

"Nataly, that is so uncalled for," Janice said.

"You asked for my opinion, didn't you?"

"Yes, but..." Nataly interrupted her.

"But nothing. If you don't like it, then tough. It is what is." She left in anger. The girls were all appalled by her behaviour.
