Chapter 142: A Replacement for an Irreplaceable Asset
Hundreds of thoughts surge through Lady's head while looking at the door of Sarah's bedroom.
'What if I find her the same way Weiss found her last night? What if she got hurt again? What if she gets mad at me for trying to see her when Regina is around? What if she doesn't want me here?'
She can hear the beating of her heart drumming loudly in her ears. Her hands are sweaty, and her legs are stiff. But these didn't stop her from taking a step forward. She reaches for the doorknob, hoping it's not locked.
"Uhhh… Sarah? It's me, Lady. You here…?" Lady decided to call first, still considering the possibility that Sarah was indeed in there just like Regina said.
"I came to see you. Tap once if you're okay – two if you're not. I got you."

Tho I'm sorry to say that I may need to leave this with a cliffhanger. Apparently, I'm planning to take a break from this story for at least a couple of weeks - starting tomorrow.
