Synopsis
Everything was perfect, and I was never greedy for more than I have. A loving family, friends, and a beautiful home, what more could I want?
Then, I turned thirteen, and everything became a nightmare. My father was murdered, and I was left in charge of protecting my people from my own king and his hatred for us. My only ray of hope in all of this is Erell, the prince from the neighbourhing country who promised he would always be by my side. But can I really trust him?

I loved it so far, maela is so mature for her age, i cant wait to see her get older, my favorite was vale, i felt for him.. Being born into a situation like that, constantly looked down on by everyone.. His attitude towards everything is very apathetic, which makes sense seeing all the things he's been through, my assumption is he's just done with everything. But alas I would love to see his character development to better tell that! keep up the good work!
Great start. I really like the two main characters and can’t wait to read more. The author has created a whole world of its own. When you start reading, you keep reading.
