Lillie and Ethan waited. Twenty seconds has passed and Gong Hei continued to sit comfortably on his chair without any indication of astonishment in his features.

Was that it? Had he just accepted Ethan's statement instantly? Usually, that would've garnered quite the reaction.

Gong Hei noticed he was being stared at. He looked at the couple in front of him, confused. "What?" He asked dumbly.

"Ah, nothing." Ethan shook his head, dismissing his expectation of his former comrade's bewilderment. "As I was saying, it was Lillie who retrieved the document personally. She got them from the impostor's mansion."

"Eh? The Lady Boss?" Gong Hei interjected, scratching his head. "I thought it was White Bird who got them back?"

"Hei, have you been listening carefully?" Ethan's eyebrows knitted together. His former comrade could be slow to register information at times, but not this bad.

"This is a serious discussion, boss. I'm quite offended that you would assume I was drifting off."
