Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Anna

Boom!

A muffled sound echoed out.

People around stared wide-eyed at the scene before them.

In Adam's hands, the burly man was like a child, picked up and slammed heavily onto the ground, making a dull noise.

The force of it, just by the sound, was enough to make people feel horrified and shocked, injuring the man on the spot.

Of course, a Knight's Apprentice was no ordinary person after all.

Adam's move could easily subdue an ordinary man, leaving him with no strength to spare, but it was not enough for a Knight's Apprentice.

The burly man tried to struggle, trying to break free from Adam's grip.

However, it was to no avail.

Adam had only extended one hand.

Just one hand, yet the power displayed was undeniably overbearing, pinning the man to the ground, unable to move.

This scene left everyone dumbfounded.

They knew the strength of the burly man before them.

Or rather, it was precisely because they knew that they were so confident.

But they never expected that in Adam's hands, the burly man couldn't even withstand one move, and collapsed on the ground on the spot.

"Don't move."

Adam's voice sounded slowly, still as calm as before: "I don't want to do anything pointless, and I believe you feel the same."

"Since you want us to see Miss Anna, please lead the way."

As his words fell, with a struggle, the burly man in front of him was thrown directly by Adam, as easily as if he were handling a child, effortless.

This unique situation left Regan somewhat dazed for a while before he reacted.

"Right! Lead the way!"

He looked at the people in front of him, gritting his teeth: "You wanted me to persuade her, didn't you? Now take me to her!"

The man in front raised his head and glanced at Regan, then glanced at the burly man lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious, and without any reluctance or further words, turned around and led Adam and Regan away.

They slowly moved forward, attracting the attention of many people along the way.

But they did not care, just continued forward until they reached a certain place.

To Adam's surprise, this place was located in the Aristocracy District, where aristocratic students were housed.

"To prevent Anna from being found, I placed her in the residence of a close friend."

Apparently sensing Adam's confusion, Regan spoke up and explained to him.

Adam nodded, not saying much.

They continued forward.

When they reached the bottom of the building, the manager wanted to inquire about the situation but stopped talking as soon as she saw the several people.

Obviously, she recognized the identities of these people and knew they were not to be trifled with.

They continued on their way, arriving at a room.

The room's door opened.

A delicate-looking girl with freckles on her face walked out, looking somewhat uneasy at the outside world.

She had expected to see the burly man when she opened the door, but instead, she saw Regan.

Regan's face was filled with anger.

Looking at the girl in front of him, he shouted angrily, "Kelly, where is my sister?"

"You... Regan..."

Seeing Regan in front of her, Kelly was completely dumbfounded.

Regan showed no courtesy, charged in and slapped her.

Slap!

A light sound echoed, and Kelly was slapped by Regan and then pushed to the side.

Regan dashed into the room, frantically searching for something.

Fortunately, he was not disappointed in the end.

In Kelly's room, a girl was sitting timidly.

This was Regan's sister.

Adam walked into the room and took a glance.

In the past, Regan was very protective of his sister, rarely letting her appear in public.

So Adam had seldom seen Anna.

Seeing her again this time, he did indeed notice many changes.

In front of him, the girl looked about thirteen or fourteen, around the same age as Adam.

Because of her age, her body had not yet matured, but her appearance was already very delicate, with a distinctive aura that made her stand out.

With such a face, such a figure, it was no wonder she caught someone's attention.

Adam looked at Anna before him, and this thought flashed through his mind.

Up ahead, Regan and his sister embraced tightly, talking word by word.

Adam glanced somewhat boredly to the side.

In front of him, the girl named Kelly sat in her seat, with a red mark on the right side of her face, obviously from Regan's slap.

She didn't say anything, just sat there, looking somewhat silent.

"You should apply something to the wound."

Adam spoke up, his face apologetic: "I'm sorry, Regan got a little emotional, so he might have been a bit rough."

"It's fine."

Kelly showed a bitter smile: "This is what I should bear."

"He entrusted his sister to me, but I couldn't protect her. It's my fault."

"If you could, I believe you wouldn't have wanted this either."

Adam said softly, comforting her.

He did not harbor much resentment toward Kelly.

In this world, most people are just ordinary people.

It could be seen from the conditions of this room that although Kelly was of noble birth, her situation was ordinary at best, otherwise she would not have been friends with Regan, the son of a merchant.

Whether she actively sold out or succumbed to the pressure of the Marquis' son, it was all normal.

Adam was very open-minded about this.

"What do you plan to do now?"

After a while, Adam looked at Regan in front of him and asked.

In front of Adam, Regan hugged his sister tightly and could only try to calm himself down: "We can't stay in the academy any longer."

"I have to take her away from here."

"But I don't know exactly how to do it."

"If you've really made up your mind, you should leave under the cover of night."

Adam offered his suggestion: "Stay here for the night, and leave when the sky darkens. The difficulty will be much less."

"Alright."

Regan nodded, then looked at Adam and couldn't help but sigh: "I don't care about myself, but you, Adam... You'll probably be dragged down by me this time."

The one who has taken a fancy to Anna is the child of a Marquis' family.

Such figures, even within Hodge Academy, are of high status and able to wield significant power.

By helping Regan earlier, Adam had offended the other party and would likely face a lot of pressure if he continued to stay in the academy.

"Don't say any more."

Adam smiled and said, "I am different from you."

"No matter what, I am an aristocrat, a student of Hodge Knight Academy."

"The methods you can use may not work for me."
