"Sir, you?"
The boy was startled by Adam standing before him.
Seeing that the others ignored Adam, he quickly realized something was wrong.
Adam was intrigued by the boy's reaction.
He could tell that he was quite an intelligent child.
Even though he had just noticed the abnormality, he didn't expose it and dealt with it as if everything was normal.
"What's your name?"
He looked at the boy in front of him and asked.
"Clay."
The boy replied cautiously.
"Interested in coming with me?"
Adam looked at the boy's patched, ragged clothes and knew he wasn't having a good time here.
Those who stayed in this place at this age were probably descendants of slaves.
The slaves belonged to their masters, and so did their offspring.
This child might be one of them staying here for that reason.
"Will I have enough to eat every day?"
The boy looked at Adam and cautiously asked this question.
Adam was taken aback for a moment and then laughed.
