Chapter 127: AN ENGAGEMENT RING

"But, your last name…" Grace was a little bit confused. They clearly heard Hazel say that he was her fiancé. Why did they have the same last name when they were not clearly married yet?

"She likes my last name, so I gave it to her," Micah answered lightly, as if this wasn't even a question. He treated it as if Hazel asked him one of his stuff.

But, wait, that's not how it worked, right?

Seeing the confusion in their eyes, Hazel laughed awkwardly and then pushed Micah away, as she waved them both goodbye. They still looked at them in puzzlement.

Firstly, it was weird that Hazel said she had a fiancé when she didn't even have an engagement ring on her finger, but then, they shared the same last name.

Did they miss something, but why was the sequence of events not in order?

"Why are you here?" Hazel asked him again, once they were inside the car. "Gillian is not here yet," she said as Micah pulled the car out of the parking lot.
