Chapter 40: The Test

"Everyone is so excited to meet you but that will have to wait. We are on a timeline. It is only your grief allowing you to sleep deeply enough to give you this time with us." Ali said. 

"I'm asleep?" Megan asked and the women nodded at her. 

"Next you must learn to walk so quietly not even you can hear your steps. Follow me." Ren showed her how to walk and had her try it multiple times before instructing her to practice constantly. Ali told her the shoes that came with her Regata armor would help. When Megan asked about the armor Ren told her it had already been given to Mim to hang in her closet so it would be available when she needed it. 

"Next, we must test your instincts, Megan. Turn toward me." Ali walked out in front of Megan in a clear space and pulled her sword. "Megan close your eyes and prepare to fight. Your Regata instincts will guide you."
