Chapter 134: Introduction ( II )

Lumielle almost dropped her magazine.

"Mielle!" Vera called out, her words almost feeling like a distance away. She stood up quickly, did she come here because of Asterias? What had happened? She wasn't here in the past and yet, here she was, looking at dresses with anxious eyes.

Composure was key, "Lady Lyanna," she called out. Her words were loud enough to pierce through the air. The hiss of honesty palpable as she quietly smiled.

"Mielle?" Vera queried, she looked utterly confused. A knowing smile crossed her lips as she looked at the older girl.

Lyanna's eyes flickered with slight recognition. She was younger than her memory entailed. A broken bird inside of a gilded cage. She had snapped Lyanna's wings in order to let her brother soar. She would do it again in a heartbeat. Convincing the Temple to bid her will, Lumielle had realized how easy it was to use the money to her advantage. Men were greedy.
